It's hard for me to come up with a top 10. But here are mine in no particular order.

  1. Tales of Graces f
  2. Tales of Vesperia
  3. The Last Story
  4. Ni No Kuni
  5. Sonic Colors
  6. Metal Gear Solid 4
  7. Persona 4 (Does this one count? Some people do count it because it was released in 2008. If it does count, it's DEFINITELY on this list.)
  8. Xenoblade Chronicles
  9. World of Warcraft Cataclysm (Definitely my favorite expansion.)
  10. Catherine

This list sounds about right. But I'll probably change my mind sometime. lol

It's hard to pinpoint 10 because this generation wasn't as great as the previous generation. I've had my fair share of memorable experiences with games from this generation, but they were few and far between. At least when compared to the previous gen.

I wouldn't call the games on that list the BEST. I'd call them the most influential or prominent.

Am I strange for not caring about any of those games though? Except for Portal 2. That's one of those games that is pretty memorable on your first playthrough.

Looks pretty good. The SMT games are always amazing. I'm tempted to buy a 3ds. But for some reason, handheld games don't hold my interest.

But if I were to get a new handheld, I don't know if I'd want a Vita or a 3DS.

I honestly think Persona 4 Golden alone makes the Vita worth it.

But then there's SMT4... Hmm...

  3. The Last Story - Wii

khoofia_pika

You can't mention two games of the same series.

Shoot. My bad. I read the rules and then completely forgot. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll edit it.

I wish I didn't have to buy a Wii U for it. But I REALLY wanna play it.

The music seems awesome too.

As far as new franchises go, there's not much of anything good. There's White Knight Chronicles 1 and 2. But the rest of the best games released this generation were either part of an already going franchise, such as Tales of Graces, Sonic Colors and Punch Out. And then there were some really good games that were released that were new IPs this generation, but weren't franchises. They had no sequels or prequels. Such as The Last Story, Ni No Kuni and Xenoblade Chronicles.

No one takes you seriously. I wonder why?

Because of my unpopular opinions.

Nope. I've got too many games on my backlog right now. It's because I'll see these games in store, and then wanna buy them because they're so hard to find. I bought Shadow Hearts Covenant at a GameXChange because I know that game isn't very easy to find. It's been a few months and I still haven't touched it. But I know I'll get to playing it someday. I've got so many other games I'm currently playing.

Still trying to beat Persona 3, Persona 4, Suikoden IV, The Last Story, Xenoblade Chronicles, Pandora's Tower and Dragon Quest VIII.

Is it just me, or are the games on the Steam summer sale this year very uninteresting?

The only one I'm kinda interested in is Last Remnant.
