Lennon is my favorite. McCartney is cool too...

Dark_Knight6

As of right now McCartney for me too.. He even has the cooler last name, lol.

That was my great grandmother's maiden name. Why couldn't we keep that?

I have no idea which it is: the "Mc" part or "Cartney". Legendary songwriter/ performer and cool last name to boot.

Paul wrote the middle part of A Day In The Life which i really liked...

Is it true that he broke up the Beatles?

And how did you come to the definite conclusion?

My Picks:

Last week it was George.. as of right now it's Paul.. He just writes the better songs IMO.

[QUOTE="Alter_Echo"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="George__1992"] Give Abbey Road a chance.

I'm sure he's heard music from it. I'll let you in on a secret....not everyone likes the same music.

That would be correct. My mother was an absolute Beatles Nut. I pretty much had to listen to it nonstop my entire childhood with bits and pieces of "The Boss" sprinkled in. It never really caught with me. I cant say that they are bad, they obviously aren't as their following would indicate. Just not something i would ever listen to aside from being forced.

My dad loves them, the only reason i got into them.

Well if the drugs did make them better they should have done a lot more of them. ( Not a beatles fan at all ).

Some people just listen to one song. I mean the whole album in general. It really comes together.

Not sure if it helped but they must have given Lennon some major eye problems = Yoko Ono

n33d2skate
John Lennon fell in love with Yoko when he went to some art showcase thing and Yoko's "art" was that you climb a ladder and see the word "YES". Honestly, he could've done alllllllllloooooooootttttt better.

true. you can't control who you fall in love with.. trust me.

Why is it that drugs better the music, but when the rockstar gets a woman, she allways messes it up(the music that it). I'll take the drugs over the woman any day.

n33d2skate
yeah, i was gonna say that too (about the women). I was watching the anthology and they're early work is classic but as Lennon gets more into LSD all of a sudden you get something called Sgt. Peppers. Same thing can be said about Brian Wilson and Pet Sounds.... Which makes you question if drugs are really bad?

Bob Dylan also introduced them to marijuana and they did that too.

yeah, it said that in the anthology. He influenced there songwriting heavily.
