Oh, that's a tough one. I'm unbelievably divided between Rpg and Strategy games. Command & Conquer or Baldur's Gate? Warcraft or Icewind Dale? Starctaft or Planescape: Torment? Tough choice, but in the end I would choose Rpgs since I can handle rpgs better and because, more importantly, Planescape: Torment is my favorite game. Unrivaled and unsurpassed as of yet.

spore hasn't been delayed 2 years.nutcrackr

That's true...and not true. It has definitely been delayed for 1 year and who knows. They may decide to delay it even more should the need to do so arises.

Well, biased or not, the following are my thoughts.

I have been hearing the preaching about how awesome Halo was for some 3 years now, but I never had the chance to experience it. Hell, I haven't even touched the X-Box yet! And without a good computer system I couldn't satisfy my curiosity with the PC version either. That was the case until the previous year when I bought my computer. Anyway, I started playing Halo as well as finishing it this year. My thoughts: Overrated. I don't know how standard or not of a fare were the additions Halo brought at that time (AI, 2 weapons, melee attacks, vehicles) but simply speaking I was bored to death by the game. The problem with Halo was that while it had good bases on it, it didn't expand on them greatly. It was an ugly mixture of the good and the bad. Its graphics were good for its age, the music was good, the voice-acting fine, the story interesting and the above mentioned additions also good, but alas, the bad were also not things that you can easily ignore. Horribly repetitive level design. How many times did I feel deja-vu? I don't know. How many times have I passed that circular room? How much gray have I seen? But it wasn't just the level design that was repetitive. It was also both the combat and the situations repeated. Every once in a while predictable combat with the hillariously English voiced Covenant troopers or the swarming encounters with the Flood. The encounters weren't particularly difficult and the fact that there were many of them didn't help wash the bore from them. Or of course how can someone forget the totally infamous and unbelievably hated repetition that was suffered when that stupid Monitor took you along and you had to repeat the same thing four times! The only spots that I didn't feel bored to death or reluctant to do were the first 2-3 stages and the final stage, where the game, at least IMO, really kicks off! Just imagine the whole game filled with the energy from the last level. Then it would really be awesome! Of course, that would be difficult but never mind. I must admit that I may be a bit unfair considering that I have experienced the awesomeness of both F.E.A.R. and Far Cry beforehand (Strangely enough I haven't played Half-Life yet, but I'm considering the possibility of buying the special package containing all the Half-Lifes including the 2nd Episode when it is released). And these are my thoughts of Halo: Combat Evolved.

Generally my time is now being consumed by both Guilty Gear X2 #Reload and Tiberium Wars. And yes, I was referring to the PC version of Guilty Gear X2 #Reload. As for what I have spent most of my time into, I don't know. Very difficult to remember.

Both are equally good. It's just that Cnc 3 can be considered kinda old-style, a bit of more of the same. Supreme Commander on the other hand is more innovative with the "why add a redundant minimap to the bottom left of the screen when with a simple roll of your mouse you can turn the main map into a minimap?" addition. Conclusion? If you have played the other Cnc games to death and you STILL want more, then go for Cnc3. If, on the other hand, you want something at the very least different try Supreme Commander. Be warned however that you need to get used to the whole "lots and lots of units" idea. Just for example,  the final part  of JUST the first mission  can demand from you to create about 100 units! Not to mention the automatic unit-building button.

Any potential and unpredictable Vista issues aside, the game will run just fine. My Athlon 3500+ with 1 gb of ram and an X1300 ran it very well on mostly high settings (though not the very high ones).

Of course there should be! If Nintendo doesn't release a new Metroid for the DS, it would be very rude from their part. And yes, it would have to have a better single player than Hunters. The single player was a real letdown. Couldn't be compared to either Fusion or the other Metroid Primes. Personally, I'm hoping that the next Metroid for the DS is a side-scroller, since the Wii will have the next Metroid Prime installment.

It will be good all right. But how much "more of the same" can we really accept? If it's "just" like the case with Advance Wars DS, then it will be really disappointing. Advance Wars DS was a disappointment in the "newness" factor. Path of Radiance was a graphical disappointment, and unfortunately, Fire Emblem: Akatsuki no Megami (Goddess of Dawn, if I remember correctly) for the Wii is, from what I heard, not that much different from Path of Radiance. If only I wasn't a fan of the series, I would screw the games.

Whens Zelda DS out, i am wanting to find a use for my DS as it spends most its time on a shelf gathering particals of dust. I wonder if the DS will produce something good in the next year of releases. Zelda looks good but i see little or nothing much else happening on Nintendo's highly successful duel screen system. So are there any games i should really take a look at, games that are on the way???????????Player1984
No, this isn't a stupid question, but have you really tried anything the Ds has offered already? Seriously?!?! If that's so (assuming it is), then possibly you have chosen the wrong console. Seeing as the recommendation thread has existed here for quite some time, I'll assume that you have taken a look on it. If not, it would be wise to do so. You might also want to have a look on the "2007 games you won't want to miss" thread. But assuming what you said (the fact that you would want something similarly exciting to Zelda), then you should really wait for E3 happen to happen on July. It is there that all the companies make all the major game announcements. Hopefully, on E3 we will hear about the release date of the Phantom Hourglass (Zelda Ds)
