[QUOTE="Georgemen"](they would have a hard time implementing analog controls on the Ds).
zayl99
The touch screen could fix that :D

Not really. Otherwise, the Ds would have already been flooded with ports. If you don't believe so, look at the gameboy advance. It is flooded with ports. Then, have a look on Super Mario 64 Ds. Can it control well? Passably enough, but can it give the same kind of great controls as in the original? I seriously doubt so. It would be difficult. Impossible? No, but the amount of time and work that Nintendo would have to do to bring ports could be used in 2 alternative ways: 1st) Bring these desired games on the Virtual Console and 2nd)  create sequels to these games. That way, Nintendo can be far more creative with their time and work.

Who knows? We can always dream. Then again, considering tha the game has also been released as an Xbox360 game, maybe we could see it on Ds.

Ports? Nah...I don't think so. And it would be pretty pointless, considering the existence of Nintendo's VC Classics. We can dream all we like but, more than probably, not going to happen. UNLESS, Nintendo plays a move similar to the one on gba with the NES Classics series and presents the N64 Classics series. Still doubtful however considering the differences of the 2 piece of hardwares (they would have a hard time implementing analog controls on the Ds).

Well, I no longer use the "Phat" Ds. The reason is that after a really nerve-taxing Mario Kart experience (call it torture) I took my revenge on it and broke it like a "Break" chocolate. As a result, the hinges broke. Now, if I want to play using the "Phat" I must balance it with my hands because if I don't the top-screen will fall on the touch screen preventing from playing. That was the primary reason why I bought a lite and why I no longer use the "Phat" Ds.

Don't confuse the meanings guys! There is difference between snaking and powersliding boost. Powersliding boost is used when you are taking turns. Snaking is a devious, evil and insidious technique that is essentialy constant powersliding boost in straights! Just seeing it in action is ridiculous. Is this racing or actually slipping? I have no desire to snake. It's pointless and on a more important (if you lack morality) note is that snaking contributes in nothing more than ruining your d-pad in zero time. So much for a victory. Sigh...

[QUOTE="Georgemen"] 3d graphics on the Ds will always look a bit limited. Whether it is the processor's limitation or the console's inability to produce a decent antialising filter, there will be something incomplete about 3d Ds games.The_Spiderman
I don't agree completely. Take a look at Metroid, Mario Kart, Super Mario 64, StarFox & even Mario Hoops. Those games look great & play great (well, maybe not Mario Hoops). The DS is capable of decent looking 3D graphics if developers do it right. I enjoy the 2D games but GIVE US MORE 3D!!

Well, I already mentioned those games above (except Mario Hoops). But, let's face it. Out of the seas of Ds games we have, say, 5 titles. And guess what, all of those are made (at least partially) by Nintendo. What does this show? 2+ years since the release of the Ds and just 5 good-looking 3d games (ok you could add Final Fantasy III and Nanostray). 3d can be done well. I am merely mentioning WHY we don't see 3d around. Creating nice-looking 3d on Ds is difficult and costly. Creating nice-looking AND smooth, without frame-rate issues, graphics is something well, even more difficult.

Broken Ds? Oh my, how embarassing, especially when you break it yourself like in my case for example. I own 2 Ds. One original and one lite. The reason that I bought the lite was due to an anger "accident". Anyway, as I was (once again) playing Mario Kart Ds on 150 cc on the third cup on Waluigi's Pinball in my desperate attempt to remain first and (of course) on the final lap, I received a nice blue shell, followed by some red shells and as a final act of indignity the shells made me "kiss" the flippers, thus zapping myself and ending in a pathetic position. This was the biggest mistake of the Ds. I exacted "revenge" on it by grasping it tight and breaking it like a "Break" chocolate. As a result one of the hinges broke on the front and the top screen took a weird diagonal position. I had to break the other hinge on the front in order to be able to balance the Ds again. Since then, that Ds got even worse with the whole hinges breaking completely. Now what keeps that Ds in place is the cord connecting the top and the touch-screen as well as some glue and tape. Yeah, it's pretty much messed up. And yes, it broke in quite a stupid way.

Of course I have. There is no such thing as buying a console only for 1st party games. I own a good bunch of them: Bomberman, Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow, Feel the Magic, Lost in Blue, Megaman Battle Network 5, Meteos, Pac' Roll, Pac-Pix, Phoenix Wright, Sonic Rush, Trauma Center, Viewtiful Joe. Yes, all of them.

Well for the cuteness factor, Chocobo. For the gameplay, Yoshter is for the win!
