Is patapon good? Or is it like Roco Loco... or whatever. I'm playing Need for Speed Underground: Own the City (I think that's the name).

If you're careful you'll find no cheaters on the Star Wars: Renegade Squadron online servers. It's really fun to play online if you're playing againt nobody who's a cheater, and it's pretty open. have fun playing online.

Let's not get this into a VCD/DVD war: it's how the Dreamcast ended. Secondly, I wanted to say that my ideas came from this video I saw, I think you guys should check it out then post back some replies (it's the history of the Dreamcast, and it's failure: about 8 minutes long): http://www.onnetworks.com/videos/play-value/sega-dreamcast?autoplay=false

tell me what you guys think/have in reply to it...

Actually, this is a new thread, just made a few weeks ago, man.

In fact, a new member made it.

CrimsonMaher

My first thread here and its still going strong!

Ghostly: Yes, the PS2 did have a hand in lowering the sales of the DC but as I mentioned before it was more SEGA throwing in the towel too early because they were "bleeding" money. I personally think had SEGA given it a little more time it would have survived longer!

I also mentioned before that despite the PS1 having no VCD playback ability as opposed to its competitors back then (3do, CDi) it still managed to beat everyone and capture the market, which makes the lack of DVD argument disputable.

The 3DO would have lasted, if they followed the razor and blade model. (Sell the razor for cheap, and then let the blades be more expensive, where the blades are the games, and the razors are the game consoles). Anyways, on top of that, the CDi was a horrible idea, and it really had no use. It was a gaming console trying to be played off as a developer's tool. Didn't work. The VCD playback really did not take off, or else we would've seen a larger play on the market. If the Dreamcast had this ability the media (may) have taken off, but other than that it was not too good of an idea. Sega needed 5 million consoles, they sold 3 million, and with the huge DESTRUCTION in Japan, they ended up losing a large portion of a would-be market. I have to say, Dreamcast is a pretty epic console, and it probably did end at the time it needed. Other than that, I don't see why else it would stay in: it could lose too much. They didn't have a strong enough brand loyalty.

This is most likely a dead thread (hence it being put all the way back in 2008) but I have to weigh in on this one: the reason that the dreamcast died was because of the PS2 launch. The PS2's games were yes, not as strong as Sega's, but with Sega's HORRIBLE support of it's other consoles (SegaCD, 32x, and Sega Saturn), Sega's fanboys were all going away. They dropped a bunch of their cash on each of these consoles, why would they drop it AGAIN on this? Many people didn't like it, so Sega had lost much loyalty for their brand. What truely ended it? It was this+the PS2 launch. I don't care what anyone says: it was the PS2 launch whether anyone likes it or not: it had a DVD player, and on top of that the original PS1 was an AMAZING console: anything that Sony then put out after this (PS1) would instantly score in the gaming market. That's all. I hope I don't get flamed for reviving this thread/booted, but I would like to see what everyone else has to weigh in. (my point may have been said, but I didn't dig through the 3+ pages of posts.)

the screen has a very hard screen protector so no worries

the screen is like a CM away from it so no worries

even if the protector scratches you dont have to worry unless you have scratchphobia which you fear scratches

"the screen has a very hard screen protector so no worries". What do you mean by that? You mean the gba sp shell? Like, the screen is inside the shell? Even so, if it got too scratched up woudnt you have to like replace the screen? Whats CM? Im cool with the protector getting scratched as long as its not visible when the thing is on.

The screen is amazingly strong, and shouldn't break. I bring mine to school to play during frees (blocks where I have no classes) and it hasn't broken in my entire year of transporting it back and forth. You shouldn't replace the screen, a screen protector, as aforementioned, is a great way to protect the screen.

Quake II. Star Wars Dark Forces was a little too short; but if you want a short game, then buy it. Both are pretty good, just that Quake II is better.
