Nintendo DS

I bought a DS a couple weeks ago and got Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow.  I must say, the system is very cool.  I love how you have a second screen for inventory management, map, etc.  Makes game playing much smoother and faster too.  I have finished DOS and started it a second time on Julius mode.  I can't wait to use Alucard!!  Castlevania SOTN is one of my favorite games of all time so anything that has Alucard in it is a plus.  The graphics in DOS are amazing for a handheld.  I'm sure I'll be even more amazed when I get a PSP eventually.  I rented Yu Gi Oh on DS from Gamefly and I'm addicted to that right now.  I think I'll buy that one too.  Time to get back to work, I just got to level 9 on here, I'm a Ikari Warrior now WOOT!

Dragon Quest VIII

Cool I didn't know Gamespot had a blog for it's members!  That's awesome.  So anyway I'm at work right now on my lunch break.  I don't have anything to read atm so I thought I'd read up on news at Gamespot.  Read the review on Dragon Quest VIII and it sounds very cool and I plan to buy it right when it comes out.  The demo I played was pretty short but I liked it.  I don't know if I can ever get over Akira Torayama's (sp?) DBZ style for DQVIII.  And the fact that you can basically go "super saiyan" after you psyche up or whatever.  I saw that video and was like OMG that is so gay.  That and the fact that Akira's style is exactly the same for whatever he designs.  It's so old.  You could just put an orange gi like Goku wears on the lead character (sorry can't remember his name) and you've got yourself a DBZ character.  I like the idea of harder battles on your way to the next town but it's not a new thing.  That's the way it was in Dragon Warrior I.  You couldn't go to the next area unless you reached a certain level.   The enemies would just wipe the floor with you.  All for now, later peeps
