Believe me guys, if there were more spaces included for the poll, I would have included the DS. Personally, I think the DS is #2 on the list of most evolutionary platforms.REVOLUTIONfreak
So what's your number 1? 64 I'm guessing.
DS isn't an option, but with the it introducing'touch generation' and what its done in terms of making gaming accessable to all (plus the touch screen dual screens, wireless multiplayer gaming plus more), it definately stands up (but its not an option).
It's really hard to say though, as except for the cube, they've all done something huge. But just for the fact of how the NES bought gaming back from a dying core and made it popular within homes world wide, I'm going to say the NES.
I think I'm going to make a "Wii outsells PS3 7:1 in Japan" next week. You should tell me how annoying it is. It's just a bunch of idiots who don't know what they're talking about. It's not sudden, it happens FOR A REASON!Eponique
You know what I think it is, it's people who are too bored to play on the console they actually got (most likely the console they're trying to hype) so they feel the need to bring down others. Or they're people who 'claim' to play games, but obviously can't be as serious as they say, as they wouldn't find the need to mindlessly bash or hype what isn't hypeworthy etc.
There are other possible reasons too, but they'll do.
[QUOTE="forgot_it"][QUOTE="kittykatz5k"][QUOTE="forgot_it"]Resident Evil-Released originally 2005
Mario Strikers-Released originally 2005
Traume Centre-Released originally in 2005
Mercury Meltdown-Released originally 2006
Madden-Released originally in 2006
They're all decent games, but like I said, something original that wasn't released before would be nice.
Jandurin

Jandurin... killed it!
[QUOTE="umcommon"][QUOTE="tomarlyn"][QUOTE="umcommon"][QUOTE="tomarlyn"]Nearly sold mine, but Wii Sports is too cool. PS3 is a better console though, as is the 360 and PS2 for that matter.tomarlyn
Maybe if you had something other than Wii Sports you wouldn't think about selling it. You can't tell me that the fall line-up for Wii disapoints you... I mean honestly.
Actually I have The Godfather, Excite Truck, Strikers Charged, Monkey Ball, RE4: Wii Edition, Zelda TP, COD 3, Red Steel and Heatseeker. Nothing special, feels like a bunch of last-gen games with tacky waggle controls and you know I prefer the way RE4 was meant to be played. I'm not interested in any future Wii game either now the whole thing is a dissapointment to me, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
Now, I've played the 360 and its amazing, true next-gen with a bright future and great library. Gotta pick up a PS3 at some point too.
Whatever. For me the Wii and 360 have the best games. PS3 has nothing exclussive that would make me want to shell out $600 much less $300 even.
Prices fall, at some point it will be great value. Like the PS2 has been the last couple years.
OK, you got to leave the dude, his opinion is his opinion, and even though he prefers other consoles, it's kind of refreshing not see mindless bashing in his post (about tomarlyn)
OK, but back on topic, this thread fails in too many ways to list, the TC made a huge falter in his own reasoning by saying it's a marathon. Marathon runners are consistent in their speed (as the Wii is in sales). I can't predict the future, but to base your logic on your friends and one weeks sales (where the gap was shortened, by no means overtaken) is small minded. It's a big world.
^ Man I just love your sig :D!
Anyway, Galaxy this month.... I wish, I see that coming in December, and hey, I don't too much mind Brawl coming next year, maybe it'll fill up the dead space of January-February. It sucks it's coming next year, but we must look at some positives!
