LOL @ anybody saying this is the best fighter so far this gen. I haven't even played my copy yet and I highly doubt its superior to Virtua Fighter 5. I say this because the inclusion of the SW fighters pretty much birthed cheap and unbalanced gameplay.

Uncharted is superior to any console game right now in terms of graphics. It looks better then MGS4 even.

Hopefully PS3 owners get VF5:Revolution sometime in the future. Tekken is cool, but it's not messing with VF. Tekken 6 prolly will end up on 360 though, it's the way of this gen. And Sony really does not care one bit about losing exclusives.

I think Kojima is trying to make a point that games aren't dynamic enough. I agree. He wants everything to feel like it's a part of the game. Not just the character you control and the ones you oppose, but everything. I think he set a standard with MGS4 in this reguard. Honestly, MGS4 is the most dynamic game I've ever played. The level design in superb. The ways about going through the game really are limitless. It's what we should expect out of these current gen titles. I'm tired of the linear stages that force us down one path. Kojima showed the industry how a games environment can really make the game that much more dynamic. MGS4 is a prime example.

MGO is fun to play but it's a scam and a ripoff. That's the real reason it's setup the way it is.

I've only played demo snippits of GoW, NG2, and DMC 4. but i have played and finished NG and DMC 3, and DMC 3 was the superior game. Reason being is that the combat system forced you to mix up your attacks, and with the real time weapons change it allowed for much more sophisticated combos, also the reason for your death is very obvious when you play DMC 3. People like to talk about Ninja Gaiden like "if you die that was your own damn fault" but i found out that it wasn't my reaction times that were bad, it was the control system and camera. I would know the attack comming and try to roll away but then i still get hit anyways. DMC is more forgiving in that "you knew the time to dodge thats good enough." not that that's easy anyways. Ninja Gaiden though doesn't lose by a long shot. The combat system is indepth like a fighting game, and if you played the fateful confrentation levels you would think that you were playing a fighting game. The problem is, is that your mostly stuck using the same attacks over and over agian. XYXXY *jump away, repeat* (cookie to anyone who knows that combo is.) The Story in DMC is by far better than Ninja Gaiden too, if Ninja Gaiden had any sort of story at all.insanejedi

Izuna Drop FTW.

But this is a great post breaking down NG and DMC. I have to say that NG2's combat system is by far superior to both DMC and God of War, but like you said when you get to the harder levels of the game you won't be able to use your whole arsenal, there's no room for experiementing on Master Ninja, you better know what you're doing because if you don't you will die fast.

To answer the question... there is no best. They all serve their own purpose that's why I enjoy each series.

Well I really enjoy playing this game online. But Konami is apparently clueless when it comes to online gaming even though this is their 3rd installment of an online multiplayer in their products. So if you don't know they recently released an expansion pack for MGO for 10 bucks with 3 new maps, and 2 special characters. Now if a company releases DLC don't you think they would want to be able to reap the benefits and be prepared for their customers to purchase it? Um.. well the DLC has been out for like 3 days now and majority of the people who play MGO can't even buy it because Konami "can't handle" the traffic it's received after putting the update online.

Konami this is what you get for not using the PSN or the PS Store. Making us go through your site to get DLC yet, you don't have the capacity for it, thus forcing a lot of you fans to miss out on your content. MGS4 was amazing and MGO is fun to me, but Konami you are idiots. Here's what I got when I tried to buy the DLC yet another time today.

with how that game is styled i would believe it and be happy even if they made the game look 80% as good as that trailer, what i want is a much upgraded and next gen feel to the gameplay, please stick to the GOW roots but make it next gen, not just graphics-wise, we dont need another DMC4 or Ninjagaiden2 where they did nothing special with the gameplay.freediro

That's not true. Both DMC4 and NG2 added things to it's combat system that made the gameplay varied from their previous installments. DMC had the Devil Bringer with Nero, and the ability to switch styles on the fly with Dante which spawned a lot of cool combos in the process.

NG2's combat system the best though. I'm not saying that the game is better then the original, but the fighting system is superior. It's really sad that the game was rushed though because the game would have been really something else if it had the proper time to polish it. NG2's dismembering of body parts adds a whole new element to NG. And NG2 has the best selections of weapons to choose from out of any action adventure game that I have ever played.

With that said, I think God of War 3 will be a better overall game then both NG2 and DMC4. The main reason is because they aren't going to be rushed into getting it to the market. They'll have enough time to flesh out the game and give us something special. I hope they implement some Sixaxis controlls for the interactive cutscenes. That would be tight.

Resistance 2 and LBP are the only games you'll be playing anytime this year. I'm really tired of waiting for Sony to get a consistent showing of software. MGS4 is enough for me, but I know a lot of people are just tired of the waiting overall. Their showing at E3 was boring.
