Feels to me like Microsoft slapped him down. They don't want performance differences in framerate between S and X. It's clearly doable, but MSFT doesn't love its X owners

I'm about six hours in on a co-op playthrough with my 15 yo son (yes, we bought two copies of the game rather than couch co-op because this game needs to be played with KBM) and it has the potential to be the best gameplay experience that I've ever had. It is tough though, but it's so rewarding to have so much freedom and to do it in co-op. Beyond this, there's a game master mode, an arena, mods ... I'll be playing this for the rest of the year.

@eternalrogue198: According to the Kotaku story, Edmonton kinda helped to kaiboch the game through a lack of support and some meddling.

@Daelusca: They already have. There's an interview somewhere about how they are incorporating the influence of immigrants and the LGBTQ community in the game. I don't have an issue with this per se - there's many influences to game design - but the fact that he felt the need to put this out there, and loudly so that nobody could miss it, a year before the game launches means to me that they want this to be in our face while playing the game.

@pkdragon: Mass Effect did have fantasy elements, but I use the Star Wars / Star Trek spectrum and ME was definitely more ST tgan SW. I always hoped that ME would eventually evolve into a Star Trek like series, with there or four DLC missions per year wrapped around Sheppard and her crew.

I think they misspoke when they said Star Wars - clearly they meant to say like Destiny. Rudderless, leaderless companies devoid of passion and creativity often resort to copying IP from smarter and better run companies. It never works. I'm open to changing my mind if this by some strange reason comes together - bit for now Bioware is dead to me.

Hands down, this is the best deal in gaming at $30 per year!

After the wrong turns the main story took in Halo 4/5, I'm hopeful that we will see a return to traditional compelling narrative in the Halo Wars saga. It looks very promising.
