Well... I dont really care about the update... I just want to play online :P Im getting kinda bored... and I've heard "Tomorrow we are going to have PSN" since last week... every single dayxAziidxThen you've been listening to the wrong people. Not one time has Sony specified a date til just recently.

Wheres the option doesn't matter, depends on the game?
If these hackers wanted to mess with xbL they would and could. Actually they have before, if not the same hackers but I know xbl market has been hit before. So the only thing Sony needs to do is stay on top of the situation and keep adding security to the system. Or maybe they could ask MS and MS would just tell them to not make it a open system and close it up so us ps3 users can't have added features such as Steam functions :)
Why complain about Sony or psn? Its hackers that have done this, its not like the servers got over loaded or something while I paid for a service to keep that from happening.
I'm having alot of withdrawls but my anger definitly isn't toward psn.
Guys, worrying about netflix, I've been able to play netflix while psn has been down. When it asked to log into psn, just click cancel once or twice and netflix will still come up. Netflix is just internet based, same as your browser on the ps3 which still works fine. So rest easy, you can still enjoy your netflix.

It's a helluva lot more natural looking than Killzone 3. If anything Killzone 3 has the more "stylized" look in that some of the environments are based in totally alien worlds with completely imaginary color palettes, the characters are all over-exaggerated muscle men, or over-exaggerated politicians. The characters in KZ3 are almost charactures. It all looks sort of cartoony. Crysis 2 went for a recognizable environment of NYC, and it seems like they strove more for "photorealism" in their manner of presenting that environment. Obviously video games are still a long way off from achieving photorealism, but Crysis 2 did not really seem to be going for any particular "art ****" other than to look as convincing as possible.

are you complaining about a unique use of ****in killzone 3? you're acting like it's a bad thing killzone 3 uses an even more stylistic approach. and no, I just said both use incredibly similar lighting techniques. both use bloom to simulate more advanced techniques... crysis 2 uses it in an even more *exaggerated* but gorgeous way, with having more light sources. I'm not arguing that crysis 2 doesn't have better lighting than killzone 3, because it does.
neither game uses realistic lighting at all, yet crysis 2 manages to capatalize on that and make some really special and awe inspiring lighting.
for a more realistic approach to lighting in a console game... look at alan wake for example.
crysis 2 is obviously not going for realism but a stylistic approach. (it's called stylized realism btw.)
Yes I am complaining about the art ****in Killzone 3. It was messy and inconsistent. Just look at the hideous color pallete used in the Helghan "jungle". I'm in no way a professional either in video games nor in art, but the design of those environments came off as sort of amateurish. Seriously... it was bad. "Exploding cacti" and the ugly looking grass and tangled vines you have to crawl through. When I was playing that mission I wasn't immersed, I was thinking "who the hell came up with this?". Why was everything in that level clashing reds and purples and oranges? I wasn't paying attention, but I remember thinking the colors didn't even make any sense (like when I was in a cave I was trying to figure out what the hell was glowing red). Might as well have been something ripped out of Metroid, it just didn't work for me in the killzone universe. Even if they were going for something "exotic" they could have pulled off something alot more convincing than that. Honestly considering the actors in that game are human vs human, they should not have strayed too far away from the type of plantlife we'd find on earth.
Killzone 3 was TECHNICALLY impressive and arguably the more impressive game engine for PS3, but the art ****did not do it any additional favors. It was a bit hit or miss for me. Crysis on the other hand I felt like had a much more immersive and "natural" feeling universe, which worked better for the type of game that it was. Crysis 2's flaws were more in the technical areas, such as framerate, AI, bad voice acting, incoherent story, etc...
Helghan should have had more plant life like on earth? Do you know anything about the Killzone universe? Just to let you know they put the Helghast there because they didn't like them lol. Also there is a planet that has more plant life like earth and that is called Vetka. The ISA at the moment occupy that planet, if I remember correctly at one time the Helghast lived there, someone correct me if I'm wrong. But coming up with reason's on why you don't like GG's idea of a alien planet, is well, just a "Really?" moment lol. It's a good rental. That's about it. KZ2 was way better. KC_HokieSP campaign smashes KZ2's, although KZ2's sp was much harder, but KZ3's was just awesome and kept me wanting to play more. And so far I'm loving KZ3's mp alot better aswell, but they do need to bring back squad leader spawning, but I'm glad they got rid of the camp feast that was spawn grenades. Overall KZ3 is a much better game than 2 was. Now back to playing some more Warzone :)
Looks like KZ in a way, I don't know why. Graphics king though...ocstewLOL, exactly what I was thinking. Game looks awesome, just like KZ :)
[QUOTE="callofdutyzone3"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HvWrIzQC6uU Go throw a grenade in crysis 2 in the water you will see the grenade doesnt cause a real 3d wave like that, crysis 2 just has a flat painted on wave. look at the water coming up onto shore too.DreamCryotank
Now go swim in that water, show me the caustic effects... oh wait, you can't. Resistance 2 had better water then that video.
No can't swim in it, but I can walk through it and it does cause waves. That water is very interactive actually. Heck if it wasn't the grenade wouldn't have done what it done in that video. The helghast would maybe actually shoot at you, I don't know, just a thought lol. Half the time in crysis, the enemy just walks around like your always cloaked. You shoot their buddy next to them, and they just go on about their business, or better yet they will just walk over the dead body like nothing happend to them at all lol.Yeah Crysis 2s AI is glitchy, but I'd like to see what'll happen if Killzones AI was dropped into one of Crysis 2s levels. :P
