The lack of any ragdoll is pretty sad... that guy flew out of the window like it was an early ps2 game. Gameplay looked pretty fluid though, but that could be just the perfect demonstration of gameplay for the demo.
The tech is great, but the potential is wasted on sports minigames instead of any games that really use motion controls for emersion. Even something as simple as making animations for taunts (mentioned by the blacklight retrobution dev as a feature he would do with kinect) would be cool.
Well dead rising was always about fun gameplay. I think the real problem is that they went for a gritty cod art style this time around which is making the game look uglier.
I wonder how much freedom you have with model creation and character design because the artstyle always resembles a cheap free to play mmo. I'm interested in the game, but I don't understand what the game is trying to be exactly.
What an awkward video. They bash the guy that claims they're trying to add more depth to the combat in the same video they interview him in. I would like the game's combat more if it went for a more strategic and less flashy style. Jet lee's rise of honor for ps2 had a nice system where you push the analog stick in the direction you want to attack.
If it's 150k "triangles" wouldn't the polygon count be around 40~50k since it takes at least 3 triagles to make a polygon?
