The review here seems to be so low because the reviewer struggle with the game's difficulty. For Famitsu to give Sonic a 9 average... wow, that's huge coming from them.
Yet again Codies pushes out a buggy game and ignores the customers: http://community.codemasters.com/t5/F1-2013-Technical-Assistance/FPS-Bug-More-FPS-Faster/td-p/369120
I'm sorry but people who buy their F1 games don't deserve pity, it's been the same buggy crap since 2010.
Fix doesn't matter as long as goalkeepers, offensive movement/forward runs, dribbling, senseless running, and non-differentiated AI teams remain in the game.
Hey, I fully get what you mean. For newcomers to the sport, PES may be a bit of an undertaking. Even with aids on it requires some thought to setup plays, yes. Sometimes even some simple idea is too much to ask so it'd turn people away, however anyone meeting that "requirement" can have a lot more fun as the mindset of what must be done in the pitch transfers much better to the tv in the PES-based game. Anyway, it's all Konami's fault for not being the supreme soccer/football ruler it once was.
PES has average/bad online play, FIFA very often has very little lag, so it's the clear winner there. But for a proper, deep, and more realistic footballing experience you cannot beat the latest iteration of PES.
FIFA had the ground paved for it this gen, with FIFA 09 being a base but EA never built on it. There were changes, yes, but the core gameplay style remained the same and it is not a very good representation of the actual sport. On its side it is supremely easy to pick up and play, unlike PES, so it can be entertaining if you have other people to play with. PES can be entertaining against the AI and against another person, just usually not online.
