Sorry earlier for only linking to a PC-focused site. I highly recommend pesgaming.com, I actually created content for PES 2010 and 2011 back in the day and that community is the best for them updates.
Hey, about the community patches they are actually quite extensive on consoles. Have a look at http://www.pesgaming.com/, the issue with consoles is as I stated you MUST look for a patch for your version of the game. North American-based discs usually get patches out about a month and a half after UK ones.
Being on PS4 is easier to update than on XBox, you load the files with an USB and just copy all to your HDD, loading it in PES 2015.
So very true! Both can coexist and FIFA is a far simpler, pick-up and play option especially in North America. The problem is tries to push itself as the most authentic and realistic thing, it is marketed wrong unfortunately. It does have some good things recreated under the hood but the core is arcade fun.
The commentary has been quite abysmal for ages... I used to have it in French or Spanish on PS2 days, haha. Now they still lacked variery but there we had emotion! I wish we still had that option, especially the Jon Kabira PES commentary days!
PES is why I will get a PS4 in 2015. It's funny reading comments bashing PES when it is the equivalent of NBA 2k in soccer, while FIFA is Live (albeit a polished Live). FIFA should have stayed in the arcade realm where it flourished and co-existed with PES so well especially in the 1990s.
Before the license bit is "pulled," do mind that the PES community is extremely active and they immediately create the Bundesliga, EPL, and lower leagues (plus other leagues) with authentic uniforms and also make stadiums. FIFA unfortunately limits the creation process and you can't edit teams.
It (FIFA) still can be extremely arcade if played as-is off the box due to the absurd aids, but when it's all manual it gets a bit clunky on gameplay. I rather have players with slightly less fluid motions (and who run mildly upright) with a dreamy gameplay and team/individual personality like PES/WE than one-game-applies-to-all with very fluid motion (and poop player resemblance) like FIFA.
Each to their own but to come in bashing a game whilst spitting garbage is not cool. Feel free to spit my own way too, someone who started on FIFA (94 on Mega Drive!) and had FIFA Soccer, FIFA 96 (Mega Drive and Saturn), 97 (Mega and PC), WC98, 98-2002/2007/2013/2014 on PC, and WC 2010/10/11/12 on PS3... and played for Flamengo youth in real life.
(And owned ISS 64 and 98, though they're not of PES family, PES 3-7 on PSX/PS2, WE on GameCube, PES 5-8 on PC, PES 2010/2011/2012/2013 on PS3)
You should look at their forums for FM 2013 and 2014 issues and see how much SI didn't address for 2015. Player and staff contracts were absurdly buggy through 2014 and it took away the fun completely.
F1 2014 continues the half-*ssed efforts by Codemasters and it manages to be embarrassingly worse than F1 2013. It is a shame the tracks and glitches don't get the deserved attention with these yearly update cashcows. We'll see how the next-gen engine works in half a year, maybe now there'll be no more excuse for the awful PC versions too.
I don't know that girl - Mary apparently - and she doesn't know me much less even have an idea of what I look like or behave. Some people don't like certain compliments or the manner in which they receive them, that's all.
