People need to stop with the "ff7 remake" because its not going to happen and even if it does it would definitly be on the PS3 exclusive or multiplat it'll be on the PS3 no matter what.
Anyways the big surprise i think will be FF13VS going multiplat i mean FF13 did, why cant VS do the same? That will be just as shocking as the E3 moment honestly...

DarkNeji14

I think Nomura has a say in VS and he is a big Sony fanboy.

FF7 remake would be amazing...

comeonthehoops

PS3 exclusive or multiplat yes.If it turns out to be 360 exclusive,I think I might kill myself...or y'know buy a 360.Whatevers best.:P

Multiplat then... I don't really care which other consoles get it as long as the 360 does so I can play it. I don't want to have to buy a PS3 for one game.

I think the fact that sony published FF7 has something to do with why FF7 related games only appear on Sony platforms. So there might not be a chance of MS getting FF7 related material.

With the recent announcement of Tekken 6's multiplatform release later in 2009 I'm wondering if Sony has lost themselves.

I'm a PS3 owner and I believe that the PS3 is in the beginning of a new revolution of gaming: with games like R2, K2, LBP, Heavy Rain, GoW3 and what not coming out in the next two years I know that the PS3 has a strong lineup ahead.

But what makes Sony Playstation what it is?

To me, it's their native exclusives: Tekken, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Devil May Cry...

Now all these games are also on the 360/being released on the 360, so I wonder, has Sony lost its identity?

I mean, it's known for games like FF and a good portion of their fans have bought the PS3 because they believed that the PS3 was the only system to get such games.

To me it seems like Sony is trying to grasp some sort of new audience with their new set of exclusives. of course, this would be the 360 FPS fans, but so far with Resistance 1 being the only real FPS, Sony seems to have lost gaining a new audience and at the same time failing to keep their faithfuls (RPG fans, Playstation Originals such as Tekken).

I'm very excited for games like LBP but I worry about Sony in regards to the System War.
I know Sony is securing 11 new exclusives but arent these games all new games that have no kind of mainstream attention? White Knight for example.

I wonder if games like Kingdom Hearts 3, Twisted Metal Black 2, Jak and Ratchet games as well as a bunch of other Sony games will go to the 360.

My point in all of this, since I seem to be jumping all over the place, is that I wonder if Sony has lost its identity or if its trying to make a new one. It just seems that Sony is making bad business moves...

What do you guys think?

GameFreakJason

Kingdom hearts maybe. But Sony OWNS Twisted Metal and Jak so they aren't going any where. Ratchet is from insomniac so he's staying to. But the games are still coming to the ps3 its just better to invest in 1st and 2nd party games now. ANd White Knight is being made by Level 5 so that is guranteed to be pure win

Sony use to do it to but it looks like ms i really out for sony this gen. IMO this will hurt them more then help them because they have no 1st party developers.

dream431ca

Epic, Rare and Bungie could be considered first party. But besides that what else do they have? Look at Sony, producing all these new IPs. 9 unannounced games from Sony Computer Entertainment and being shown at TGS (probably tomorrow or Friday). 9 new games plus 2 games from level 5 plus 2 games from Konami and Irem, and just to top that all off, ALL EXCLUSIVE. Sony seems to be producing while MS is trying to impress people by getting games that were once exclusives to the PS3.

Rare and bungie, but i don't think epic can. They still make games for pc and just released one for the Ps3 last year

[QUOTE="dream431ca"]All MS can do to get the real good games is to steal from Sony. It's sad but true.nervmeister
I can bet you my left nut that if a 360 exclusive came to the PS3, the cows would call it "good business" instead of "stealing". Let's be fair here.

Difference is MS is paying and sony is not.

[QUOTE="darkslider99"]Is the new Team ICO game PS3 exclusive? Or has there not been any sort of announcment of it either way?Espada12

I think Sony own Team ICO so it's only on PS3.

Nah I think it's because Team ICO had some bad experiences with M$, that's why the game would be playstation exclusive.

Sony owns Team ico. Http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Team_ICO

Well considering that the original Gears of War is still the console graphics king, I really don't understand how you are disappointed.bungie93

Uncharted took that crown

One thing that people forget is that the PS3 is a 10 year console. As we have seen with the PS1 and PS2, Sony keeps supporting their consoles for 10 years after they are released. The PS2 released in 2006, and will be a viable, current-gen platform until at least 2016 (or possibly longer due to the further unlocking of the Cell processor).

The 360? I will be replaced in 2010, making it a 4 year console. And we all know how M$ treats its old, obsolete consoles: no support.

I think that since 10/4= 2.5, that the PS3 is at least 2.5 times more valuable than the 360, and with the combined power of the Cell, blu-ray, free HDD, free online, wireless, bluetooth, XMB, Playstation Network, and classic games, the PS3 will be more than powerful enough in 2016. Reason? It is future-proof.

VulcanMage119

You are Incorrect sir. The 360 will not be cut off after the next gen, as it will still be making profit this time around. That only happened to the original xbox because it was a money pit. And the ps3 is already outdated compared to high end pcs (no I'm not a pc gamer, it's just rather obvious) so for it to wait 10 yrs would be retarded. And it would make the 360 a 5 yr console btw depending on launch date.

Sony said that the PS1 would be a 10 year console. What happened?

Sony said that the PS2 would be a 10 year console. What happened?

Sony said that the PS3 would be a 10 year console. Why won't this happen?

Sony is a Japanese company, and I understand Japan and its culture better than most people on system wars. When they say something, they mean it. There are no exaggerations, and word is honor. Japan uses a form of honor that we americans have no idea about.

PS3 WILL be here for 10 years, I have no doubt about it. The Cell will make sure of that.

Just like the ps3 will produce 4-d graphics right? I can definitely see third party support for the ps3 for 10 years, so I think you are right in that. but I see the same support for 360 as well, that's all

Do you understand what 4-d means?
