After reading/watching a few times, I have to admit this clearly a biased review. However, in all fairness what review isn't??? I just don't feel that this critically examines Halo very seriously (e.g. nice environment but same gameplay... that's an issue for me). Just will have to give it a try myself and come to my own conclusion I suppose.
I would like to see a hard criticism of the Halo series.. If I could read a serious deconstruction of the series + Halo 4 I would definitely consider getting it.... I just feel like it's COD getting 9's across the board, which I completely disagree with. Perhaps I will wait until they release a "series" edition and then decide to check the newer iterations out... Is this not the fifth or sixth one?? I dig new experiences regardless, and generally won't pay for a similar experience unless it goes leaps and bounds above the over-saturated console market ... Till then I will stick with Indie Gaming and TES.
@rodier3 oh.... wow... Ok, sounds like you either don't have a very substantial rig or haven't used Steam all that much. I am floating +90 Steam games now... Never in all my years (plus all my fellow peers) have I seen a major issue. Furthermore, comparing to Origin, are you bananas??? Maybe it's a region thing (i.e. are you in N.A.?)
And... so glad I don't support EA products. btw guys, lets not forget that legally binding contract you have to sign when adhering to Origins policies in order to use their products (before comments, I am also aware of similar things on PSN and the like) . As a console gamer of 20+ years, I find it astonishing that many major AAA titles force you to sign legal documents to play a game. Once again, a clear trend in developing an anti-gamer/profiteering market baseline in the video game industry. Independent PC gaming here I come... ;)
So sad to hear **** is still going down. I bought this game PS3 on release day (which I NEVER do), put 110+ hours into my mage (I think something like lv. 60-70), only to have to save file get too large and cause the game to crash and my file to corrupt. I immediately sold the game online, and have not looked back since.. *sigh* I really loved that game. One day I will just have to "obtain" the PC version and start all over.... Going to be years to come before the wounds heal though...
@Fandango_Letho Survival Horror games have been doing very, very well these last two years. Check out Steam... RE devs just blew it with trying a new (and apparently) bad rendition of the engine
