Alot of people are praising Forza for it's "realism" and for it's "simulation" but doesn't realize that it lacks alot of things and some features in the game makes it unreal and doesn't represent real racing simulation and I will explain it now.
1- damage modelling is not complete/accurate and it has forgettable mistakes as much as GT which doesn't have the so much praised about "damage", You could hit your opponent's cars hard and complete your laps without having any major problems, actually any problem sometimes, no engine, no handling problems etc, and after you finish your race you don't have to go to the garage for repairs, if you restart or go to the next race, the car magically becomes 100% fine.
2- there are other major factors besides the damage modelling that makes or brakes a racing sim, you know those little things called HANDLING the car,ACCELERATING and BRAKING which is more realistic in GT5p, anybody who played both can not deny how much real GT5p gets when it comes to this aspect, it has a sense of speed and handling more than Forza's, in Forza 2 it feels a bit between Need For Speed and GT5p which makes it more arcady compared to GT5p, doesn't mean Forza's gameplay is broken but it just mean GT5p does it better.
3- When you win a tournament and get the prize car, you could only sell it for 100cr which is not real at all, I work my ass off to win the races and when I win a tournament, they give me an old car maybe from the 70s which I don't care about and wants to sell it and I could only sell it for 100cr, ok thats fine, its an old car, however,if I win a new racing car like a new Porsche which I already have exactly the same one of these and SURPRISE it's worth 100cr, now tell me that happens in real life car racing.
4- also the much talked and praised about Forza 2 is the customization of the cars which is insane I can't deny it, however, I don't want my Sim racing game to be like Need For Speed, there is no Batman or Super Mario painted car in real racing ok, I don't know whats so real about it? I mean it's a cool feature but doesn't fit in a racing sim reality show car, I prefer my cars in Forza or GT to be and look like real life racing cars with minor paint tweaks like the special cars you get in GT series.
5- You could only race against 8 cars in the track, it's a next-gen game and it only handles maximum of 8 cars in each race, GT4 on ps2 handles 6 to 8 if I remember correctly so yeah, thats a major downer.
6- Presentation: in every GT game Polyphony has some cla$$ and unique $tyle in it when they bring you the game and GT5p there is no exception in elegance feeling when you play the game and navigate through the menus, watch each car and how it is represented if you would go to their manufacturers and how they represent their cars in the showcase area.
The cock-pit view is incredible and gives you the mostrealistic feeling you would ever get in a racing game.
Each tracks feels alive and is almost exactly like the real thing and they are not afraid to represent in as wide and big as it gets, in Forza 2 you see a complete different track you wouldn't recognize that it is the same track you are playing in GT, it feels really generic compared to GT.
7- Last but not least, graphically, GT5p is way ahead and is as realistic as it gets for the car modelling, in Forza 2's case, you could see the difference from the real car and a videogame car modelling, just look at this video and tell me a Ferrari F340 looks exactly like this in real life.

Another point I would like to add which should be addressed, people are comparing GT5 with Forza 3 and alot of Forza fans say that Forza 3 will be better, I just want to know why,
a- they are confident when I presented these points.
b-while they know that Polyphony gonna include the so much praised about Forza and knocked GT for it, the useless tired argument which is Damage modelling.
I mean whats so special thats gonna be about Forza 3 that would make it better when GT5 brings damage?
I say lets just wait and see in E3 what are they bringing to us okey.
