I am glad that ESO will have a sub fee, if it was F2P it would mean only one thing that the game is bad and cheap as the rest of F2P MMOs. I'd rather pay 15$ (hell even 40$) a month for a good quality MMO instead of some pile of crap with a cash shop being shoved up my arse all the time. Not sure about B2P because the only MMO I've played with that kind of model was GW2 and that game was extremely casual, shallow and boring, almost every aspect of that game failed, exept questing.

Also I find it amusing that for some people 15$/month is expansive.

Hahahahahaha, way to describe WoW. Honestly, all the quests are voice acted, the story is fine, the quests allow you to choose how you approach them. You aren't told to kill 10 beats (aka WoW) you're just told that the beasts are annoying and you have the freedom to choose how to deal with them. Do you set traps, kill them, lure them away from the area, scare them etc. It's not just a one way street. WoW is the definition of grind. The reason people play for years on end isn't because there's that much content, it's because they redo the content there is to get better gear aka, grinding. creaturemagic
And GW2 isn't grind? Exactly same grind as WoW.

How long did you play GW2 to come to that conclusion? 30 minutes?FelipeInside
Played around 50h with my gf (hell we couldn't even play together because of the stupid server overflow system). The first 30 minutes actually were the most fun, with time it became obvious that is one of the worst mmos we have ever played. We both got a refund, some of my friends did the same.

I would recommend WoW because it beats GW2 in every aspect expet graphics. GW2 is very bland, combat system is horrible, pvp sucks. Story is bad, quests are boring: collect stuff, feed cows, kill crap, etc... At the end game there is only grind as in all other mmos. There is a reason why it's f2p, the game is just not good enough to be p2p. As for WoW it's still ok, I just wish Blizz haven't made the game that easy for lazy and stupid people who just want everything without putting any effort.

http://www.gamasutra.com/view/news/175306/World_of_Warcraft_loses_1_million_subscribers_in_three_months.php

As part of the publisher's quarterly earnings report, Activision Blizzard revealed that World of Warcraft had 9.1 million subscribers as of June 30, 2011. That's an impressive figure, to be sure, but it's soured a bit by the fact that the game boasted as many as 10.2 million subscribers in March.

Looks like they aren't doing to well. Just like we guessed, the Annual Pass was only temporarily able to tide the losses. Any predictions on how low it will go?

James00715

I can predict how high it will go, probably after MoP is released numbers will scale up above 11 million, just like it was with every WoW expansion. Please don't worry, WoW will still be a king of all MMOs for the next couple of years.

WoW is still one of the best MMOs out there so of course me and my friends will be playing MoP. End of WoW? Come on man this is just silly.

I don't expect GW2 to be the best game ever but I will play and enjoy it for some time, until MoP comes out.

They lost their reputation with this game. I can't blieve people still play WoW, it's identical to this game only no subs....SKaREO
For me they gained reputation, D3 is masterpiece. WoW is still one of the best MMOs out there that's why people play it.
