[QUOTE="Haarhus"]

Awesome.. D3 CE pre-ordered, 500$ saved for RMAH :D

[QUOTE="MythPro1"]

That simple point is important to a lot of people, especially myself. I refuse to shell out $60 for any game, and when it comes to Blizzard games, I will be waiting an eternity for a discount. Torchlight 2 is the smarter purchase in my opinion.

MythPro1

People are different, I personally prefer to spend quality time instead of getting some cheap and crappy game. So I would rather pay 100$ for D3 than 5$ for TL2.

Are you insinuating Torchlight is a cheap, crappy game? Eww.

It's just my opinion.. Yes indeed for me TL and TL2 falls under category of cheap and crappy games.

I just received an Email from Amazon.com stating that my game's est arrival date has been changed from the 20th to the 16th.

Does this mean the game's actual release date has changed, or just that I might be able to get in a day or so before the 20th? (early access or whatever?)

Anyone else receive an email stating their game will be delivered earlier?

At the very least, this will give me a chance to pre-load the game right, have it installed and waiting to log in for the first time on the 20th. Sorry I never been in an MMO launch before. Don't exactly know how this is going to work.

For some reason i cant link, gamespot is being gay ill just copy paste what they posted on amazon.

Hello,

Here's an update for customers who have pre-ordered Star Wars: The Old Republic that was scheduled to be released on December 20, 2011. Because beta access ends at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on December 19, 2011, we've decided to ship the game early to customers starting December 15, 2011. We'll be updating orders over the next two days and new estimated delivery times will appear in Your Account shortly after our updates are complete. These changes will be applied to your account automatically and there is no action needed on your part. Please see below for an update to estimated delivery times based on shipment method.

New Estimated Delivery Times for the Contiguous US:

* Release Date Delivery - on or before 12/19/2011
* One-Day Delivery - on or before 12/19/2011
* Two-Day Delivery - on or before 12/19/2011
* Standard Shipping - on or before 12/24/2011
* Super Saver Shipping - on or before 12/24/2011

Orders shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, and international addresses will also ship earlier than originally planned.

Once we've finished updating the orders, you'll be able to find your updated Estimated Delivery Time under "Your Orders" in Your Account:

http://www.amazon.com/your-account

Since extremely limited quantities of the Collector's Edition are available, we recommend not canceling an order for this edition unless you do not intend to order it again. Please note that customers who cancel and attempt to re-order the Collector's Edition may lose their place in line.

Please note that official game access is scheduled to begin at 12:01 a.m. on December 20, 2011. BioWare will be bringing down all servers for a short period of time before the launch of the game. You will be contacted in-game with details on this planned outage and when you can expect all servers to be back online.

We appreciate your patience and hope you enjoy the game.

The fact that there's only one more wave to go and most servers are on medium is pretty selfish of BioWare. I know developers do not owe us anything, but as pre-ordered and 100% one day purchase customers, we should get in at a reasonable time. It looks like everyone who pre-ordered in any time in July will get in first day. Now that leaves August, September, October, November, December (obviously). I'm guessing you can line up each month to each day. Do the math. :P

Now, if my prediction and math is correct, those who pre-ordered in December will get in on the last day - if you're lucky 2nd to last day. :P

Elann2008

If people won't get invited on dec 15th, there will be tons of them who will start canceling their pre-orders... Than Bioware will give quick invites to everyone. Your prediction is totally incorrect.

Now I'm just confused. Can someone do a comparison? Between WoW Yearly Deal or getting the Diablo 3 CE (or normal edition)?

FelipeInside

WoW Annual Pass is a 12 month subscribtion, you dont pay whole thing up front. Price may technically vary, depending what method of payment you prefer to use; 1 month=14,99$ (179$), 3 month=13,99$ (167$), 6 month=12,99$ (155$). So benefits that you get for subscribing to Annual Pass is free copy of D3 (~59$) and Tyrael's Charger.

If you have signed up for the Annual Pass and you purchase D3 CE, you'll be able to add CE to you Bnet acc and recive CE items + 4 moth credit to your WoW account. Those 4 month also apply towards your 12 month Annual Pass commitment.

Thinking of commiting to the year subscription to WoW as my wife and I are pretty common players. Just wanting to know when this ends? I was thinking of signing back up again in 2 weeks after getting through all the xmas stuff, but I do not want it to be over. Thank you for the help in advance.

Arthas045

If you are planning on playing WoW for a year and D3 than shure get it, it's a good deal. Even if you will want D3 CE you can still add it to your Bnet acc and get all CE stuff + another 4 month of WoW.

[QUOTE="Haarhus"]

It has 1 million pre-orders because of the name "Star Wars" which is developed by a good company BioWare. When people will start playing, most of them (apart from blinded fanboys) will realize how poor in general and unoriginal game mechanics are. I am not saying that SW:TOR is total crap, but for MMO veterans it brings nothing special at all, as they call it another "WoW-Clone". In 1~4 month(s) after release, this game most likely will start losing massive amounts of subscribers.

Am_Confucius

Why would it lose subscribers? There's alot more to do in SWTOR with 8 storylines, while in WoW, there are pretty much 2. WoW didn't lose subscribers in a good while and SWTOR is alot like WoW but with more overall content and flashier, so I don't understand why it would suddenly lose subs.

First of all SW:TOR doesnt have more content than WoW and never will. I don't understand how can you compare (in terms of content) new game to the game that was out for 7 years and had bunch of Xpacs. Flashier and prettier, yes of corse.. Problem is not in grpahics but in the end game, what SW:TOR has to offer than other MMOs on the market can't? It will be same dungeon grind and PVP system, unless BioWare has done some miracle that we haven't heard about. Players (exept Star Wars lovers) will get bored really quick and scatter to the old MMOs or as soon as some new MMO hits.

[QUOTE="Advid-Gamer"]I agree the game is fine, and all the haters will be owned after release and a few months after, its the best mmo to come out since wow. You think people would be excited seeing how they have been waiting for this but no they still complain. FelipeInside

Thats what i heard when warhammer, AoC , aion, rift and other "the best" mmos were comming out, they all failed in a long term. Like it or not, soon SW:TOR will join that list also.

But those games already had many complaints in Beta. I don't see ToR having that many complaints...

Also, 1 million preorders I heard..? and that's not counting the countries were it isn't realeased yet. (at launch)
