I'd Swap your Phenom for an E8400 (3.0ghz) which would be a similar price and greatly increase your performance, PSU sounds a bit shady too - I'd go a for a good quality branded one.

Like someone above said, dont be fooled by 9 series, the 8800gt is actually a more powerful card, i personally would go for an ATI 4850 as they are superb and then your system will run all of those games on high.

Now that this is on its way, I was just wondering if anyone had any tips on how to remove previous thermal paste?Ghost_loy

Ok, I dont need the following:

  • Optical Drive
  • OS
  • Monitor
  • Keyboard
  • Mouse
  • RAM

Basically all i need is the tower minus the RAM, i already have 4gb (2gbx2) of Corsair RAM Lying around.

I need the following:

  • CPU
  • GPU
  • PSU
  • HDD
  • Mobo
  • Case
I would really love some help, and i wouldn't really like to go over 450 pounds :)

You need an SLI PSU also, A decent 600w one should do the trick.

But I only get maybe 5 minutes of play time. Can it overheat that fast? It's not that dusty inside. How do I change the fan speed? And I think I have the newest drivers. And how do I find my specs for my PC? -_-;

Without a doubt, it can overheat VERY quickly. And to get your PC specs download CPU-Z

Yep certainly looks like something is overheating, your graphics card most likely.

AMD Phenom X4 Quad Core 9950 2.60GHz Black Edition is the best one out as far as i'm aware.

Yeah it would probably just be fine, but personally i'd spend a little bit and get a 600w-650w one, just to be sure.
