@reincarnator07 @Haeravon @Ansem_Rev No resell option, mandatory as DRM on games that should never need any internet access, and the used game market for console games allows anybody with patience to get games cheap. As a digital distributor/software library... fine.
@reincarnator07 @Haeravon After GTAIV on the PC, I don't give a PC port much hope in terms of technical superiority. Don't get me wrong, the more platforms any game is on, the better, but not having GTAV is a real gripe for many PC gamers... unless they're smart enough to have a console, too. I stand behind about 95% of what I said.
@reincarnator07 @Haeravon @MAGIC-KINECT Medieval 2 was my favorite Total War game, so far. The first Witcher game was the last must-have PC game for me, however. although pretty much every RPG is superior on the PC due to modding.
For console exclusives, I really liked Dragon's Dogma. Very glad I have consoles for games like that. Had some of the best gameplay of any RPG this generation, and if you're an RPG nut like me... Diablo 3 was just icing on the cake. Glad I passed on it for the PC and got the PS3 version down the road. I'm a long-suffering Diablo fan, let me scratch my Diablo itch without having to deal with the always-online and RMAH.
@reincarnator07 @Ansem_Rev You can pirate on any device. Only PC games have been ruined by it-with mandatory Steam DRM on most games. Xbone tried to ruin consoles, but thankfully they fail, for now.
@reincarnator07 @MAGIC-KINECT StarCraft 2 is PC win example for you? Huh. So let's see... a game series that was split into thirds to milk the consumers and Total War (aka the 80% finished at launch Rome 2.) The word 'quality' means something different for you than it does for me. It's also funny that the console version of Diablo 3 is far superior to the PC version in everything but graphics.
@phbz @Haeravon I thought the point of PC gaming was to spend a bunch of money on a rig for slightly better graphics so you could come onto the interwebs and troll the PC master race line?
How will they keep their superiority complexes if they're not spending lots of money on it?
So... what advantage does this have over a PC? Not sure I understand what Valve is trying to achieve here. Are they counting on people having not discovered they can hook their PCs up to their HDTVs with HDMI cords or something?
