this is probably one of the best, well written Gamespot articles that i have read in a very long time...
not just b/c i agree with it but b/c it actually was well thought out & thought provoking towards other similar parallels that i myself never thought of, that actually make sense...
i grow tired of the shaming articles or articles that want the reader to forcefully take a stance with them...
this was quite refreshing...
thanks Aaron, id like to see more articles from you on Gamespot...
i dont know many children who have $60 to spare on games, let alone credit cards to purchase these games via download...
the ONLY WAY a child would have money for these games is through gift cards, rich parents who dont care how much money they give their child to spend on things, or through purchasing pre-purchased points/money...
this is a long stretch though...
so whos really buying the games, Yee???
do your research, since you seem to supposedly know "many gamers"
this guy is a joke...
please contact him through email & educate this fool..
the more people that contact him, the more he is put in check, & is told he is a fool for his foolish statements that have no merit..
heres his email address: Senator.Yee@senate.ca.gov
the movie argument & music argument was big in the 90s & late 80s....
horror films were dumbed down a bit & less gory than 70s & 80s horror films...
due to the usage of NC-17 coming to light...
same for CDs, they started the Parental Advisory sticker, being mandatory in the 90s...
its always something though....
before all of this, it was books...
now, books arent that big of a deal...
the last book that i can think of that was a huge deal with the Book Of Sex by Madonna...
but now since video games are so popular, they will be the new EVIL, where everyone will go to them & make them the problem for all problems concerning our country...
they did this with CDs & Movies back in the late 80s & early 90s...
so much more easier that way...
this article is f-king hilarious, though...
considering if you look at his other reviews & "newsworthy" articles, its like hes nuts & cant make up his mind...
its all about taking a stance most of the time with this guy...
so many contradictions...
he wants violence, in one review & praises it...then in another he says that it isnt real enough & isnt simulated enough, that it makes the violence or war seem fake...
