Anyone Excited?

Guitar Hero 4 is now a 4 player game like Rock Band. What are your thoughts on it? I'm sure that it will be awesome, but buying another game that is over $100 seems to be a bit of a hastle.

A Hairy Word Jumble

Since I don't really have a whole lot to talk about, I have been mostly playing Dungeon Runners, I thought that I would do a little thing to get your minds working. Some people are starting their summer vacations already but some start next month. To ensure that the big (or small) pink blob in your head still functions, I thought I would enlighten you with a little word puzzle. See if you can unscramble the letters to form the title of the game.

Starting this out with an easy one. Then eventually working on up to harder jumbles in the future.

*Hint* Even though there are no spaces, the letters that are jumbled are in the order represented in the game's title. So, for example, iepsutrc = pie crust. lol. Hope that helps.

Dungeon Runners

The creators of Guild Wars have put out a Free MMO that I have been addicted to greatly. There aren't that many people who play it, but maybe you guys and gals might be interested in it. You can find all the information here. Let me know if you decide to give it a shot so we can play together.

Check ya later!

Working From Home

Sounds like a dream right? Working from home is pretty easy to do for those who want to make a little extra money on the side. I recently started doing this to just make a couple extra bucks doing surveys and crap online. Not everything is a scam and you do make a little extra money.

The job search for me is a little on the slow side. I have been to a couple of interviews as of late but nothing really makes me want to follow up on them. Retail seems to be the only thing available and I may have to settle for that sooner or later. As long as I find a job that is with a place that pays decent and gives a nice discount, I'll be happy.

On the gaming front, GTA is still taking up my time. The game is just awesome. It is the first GTA that I actually like to play and don't get bored of it at all. The only thing that pisses me off is when I've been doing a mission for like 10-15 mins and fail it for whatever reason (mostly chasing missions).

Well, not much has been going on with me. My summer class starts next week so that will give me something to do other than looking for a job.

Buncha Stuff

Finally watched No Country For Old Men this morning on the 360. The whole movie, besides the end, is fantastic. You just need to find a way to see this movie if you are a fan of the Coen brothers. I also like the movie rental stuff on the 360, although I will probably just shell out the extra couple points for the HD version of movies instead of standard def.

Haven't played Mass Effect yet to see if my Intercooler could help with the heat problems. I need to find something that I can prop the 360 up from the bottom so that the air can flow out from all of its holes. It might not even be a heating problem but it is worth it to getting the 360 a little cooler. Also, would anyone have any tips as to making the intercooler not as loud as it is?

I also just want to say thanks to the people who gave me some advice on my Mass Effect issue on here and YouTube. I will be implementing possible solutions today, when I get a chance.

My Problem With GameStop's Policies

To get to the point, I am furious with the way that GameStop treats their gamers. If you take a look at the latest "special offer" to get Mario Kart Wii for $9.99 after you trade in 2 Wii games, that are listed by them, it is a total rip-off!

Let's say that you want to trade in Brawl and Galaxy, I don't know why you would want to, for Mario Kart. Mario Kart Wii is most likely going to be $49.99 right? That means that GameStop will only give you an assumption of $20 each in credit towards the game. That is absurd. And you know that they are going to just sell the games to other gamers for like $44 dollars.

Please, do not sell your games back to that store because YOU will get ripped-off. If anything, sell your games on a website or privately. Don't get sucked into what you think is a great deal because it is not.

Feel free to agree to disagree.

Mass Effect First Impressions

I was always interested in this game ever since it came out. I finally purchased it today and here are my impressions.

First things first, I was a bit skeptical about the problems that people were having with the game. So far, the only thing that has been going on are frame rate jitters and texture pop-in, which doesn't bother me at all.

As for gameplay wise, it is so easy to get into the story. I wasn't sure that the dialog would please me that much, but it is just an immersive game. I can easily see myself playing this game for a whole day if I wanted. I am just blown away by the dialog system and how much you are involved in the stories development.

The combat is also pretty good. I tried playing it as a straight up shooter, not being a full-on shooter class, and wound up getting owned pretty hard. The powers are pretty cool and add a whole new depth to the simple combat.

I wish I could just keep playing it tonight but I have a stupid test in the morning. I'll have more impressions on Mass Effect in the near future.
