ok so killzone 2 looks boring and generic what does that make Halo?!
the #2 multiplayer game on Live and 8 million SINGLE CONSOLE sales.
Halo 3 will be old in feb 09 but will still slap around KZ 2 like its nothing.
Exactly the #2 multiplayer game played on live. Doesnt mean Halo is anything special.. Infact Halo 3 is probably the least innovative game this gen.. even rainbow six vegas 2 has a cover system and ranks along with unlockables. All you can do in Halo 3 is keep ranking up
kz 2 seriously brings nothing new to the table gameplay wise

who cares?! why does every game need to reinvent the wheel. Thats the type of genre it is FPS.. You can easily say that Forza, Gran Turismo, and Call of duty 4 bring nothing new to the table at all, hell you can even say Gears 2 doesnt bring anything new to the table but they all look fun and amazing, so who cares about "innovation"
Killzone one sucked, unless KZ2 innovates its formula somehow it will suck. That is why innovation matters in the case of KZ2htekemerald
Killzone 2 doesnt need to innovate.. name one other console game with as good particle effects, body animations and overall presentation as good as killzone 2, the gameplay looks to hold up really good. Who cares about innovation, I buy FPS for multiplayer, great graphics and great gameplay.. If im lookin for innovation ill buy little big planet

I find it funny how when COD4, Halo 3 and Gears was released NONE of those titles really brought "Innovation" to the table but yet they where praised as the second coming and the best games ever made, now in all the Killzone 2 previews they say its a good game but it lacks "innovation" Ok its a FPS war shooter!! What do people expect from this genre, for the main character to have special super powers to read the helghast's mind and use mind control?! I really think the term innovation is used way to often all of a sudden.. Call of duty 4 and Halo 3 while they are great games, brought NOTHING new to the table as far as innovation whatsoever!! now that Killzone 2 is down the road, Innovation all of a sudden becomes the #1 important thing, kind of ironic if you ask me and kind of hypocritical!
FPS war multiplayer shooters are not meant to innovate, they are meant to have great graphics, great shooting action and awesome multiplayer.. Noone cares for "innovation" when it comes to FPS multiplayer titles.. If you want innovation i suggest you hold out for Spore or Little big planet because FPS online shooters are not MEANT to be innovative. It seems like previewers will look for any excusse whatsoever to bring down killzone 2.
Again I just find it odd how when Gears,Halo 3 and COD4 came along that they where praised as the greatest games but yet all of a sudden so conveniently people are now bashing Killzone 2 for "lack of innovation" I mean really
[QUOTE="HaloJim79"]Another thing I LOVE about PSN over xbox live is the ablity to download literally hundreds of user created themes for free straight from the PSU website from the web browser, i could spend hours just going through the thousands of user created themesTheNuyorican
Most of which are average.
If its not from m0dus it kind of isn't even worth downloading unless some new talent came in since the last time i checked.
there are some really solid ones actually. I actually just likg going to google and downloading my own wallpapers to be honest, which is awesome. I didnt even know you can go to google and download any picture straight from the web browser in the XMB, i thought you first had to download it to a USB device, thats another fun thing just browsing google for good wallpapers. I downloaded a crap load of Killzone 2 and MGS4 ones today straight from google to my PS3 HDD and use them as backgrounds
yea, 2.4 will even things up a bit, but the downloadable content is not nearly as vast or good. how many tv shows or movies are available on the psn? (just in case you are wondering, none)ULTIMATEZWARRIO
True but the PS store is almost on par with with xbox marketplace as far as demos and game content such as add ons and FREE themes, ofcourse the 360 has more demos obviously since it has been out a year longer and I do believe sony is going to implement a video on demand service eventually for the PS3
360 fanboys will say
buh buh teh communiteezzz teh 10 year old high pitch = worth teh money!1

Exactly! and someone else brought up a good point in another thread.. the PSN community is perfect how it is with no mic included with every console because if someone goes through the trouble of buying a mic you know they are serious gamers that will actually put the mic to good use and not random 10 year olds that make fart noises and sing random songs as loud as they can
