MGO is probably one of the most polished online shooter experiences this gen aside from COD4 and Rainbow six vegas 2. MGO is very underrated and overlooked but it honestly is one of the better online shooters.. Grant it that it lacks a leveling up system as seen in COD4 but the over control and gameplay and maps are very very good and well done. I love the sneaking mission where you play as snake, very fun online!! I do have some complaints however.. 1. I wish they had a "no respawn" game type or option, it would make it more intense and 2. I wish more people figured out how to use voice chat by just simply holding down the select button for a few seconds and voice chat stays on! Other than that, MGO is amazing and plays beautifully..

Oh and if you only played the Beta you cant judge it on that, the beta was garbage, the actual game is a lot a lot better

 Please tell me you're joking around...

mgo is garbage compared to the better online experiences like halo, cod4, and gta4

Your right about Halo and COD4 but GTA IV online is plain awful, unbalanced and a snoozefest.. COD4 and Halo 3 are awesome though

I didn't like the beta at all, just didn't feel right.II-FBIsniper-II

oh there is a vast difference between the beta and the real deal. For some reason the final version is a lot more polished, controls better, sounds better and takes less bullets to kill people. the Beta was garbage if you ask me but the real deal is awesome

I honestly think the PS3 pulled a Barack Obama... What I mean is how back during the first democratic primary in Iowa Obama shocked the nation by winning the Iowa caucus and he gained more and more momentum from there and the rest is history. My point is i think it all has to do with blu ray winning the format war. I mean Remeber it was Jan 2nd of this year that Sony oficially won the blu ray war and warner defected to blu ray exclusive, from there I noticed month after month more postive PS3 news came out, the media was more friendly to it and the sales just started improving from there on. When sony won the blu ray war it happened so much sooner than people thought and happened overnight and really took tons of people by suprise

speaking of sales does anybody remember when the GBA was outselling the PS3 early in its lifetime? That was hilarious.xxastrocreepxx

LMAO that was hillarious.. WOW how things have changed, I remember the PS3 couldnt even break 100k consoles a month and the 360 was a beast.. Now the 360 is down there in PSP/PS2 land and the PS3 outsold it by 20 thousand units last month WITHOUT the 80GB OR MGS4! Id love that issue of EGM "battlestation" where it shows the tomatoe being thrown at the PS3 that came out a year or so ago, my how things have changed in such a short time

It just dawned on me today that the PS3 has pretty much outsold the 360 every single month this year aside from April where the 360 outsold it by a very very small margin.. I can definatley understand why the PS3 would outsell the 360 from here on out considering MGS4 is out and the 80GB model is back with MGS4 bundle and dualshock 3. BUT the last few months the only PS3 SKU on the store shelves here in the US has been the 40 GB model and NO good PS3 exclusives have hit yet.. So is it because the 360's hardware issues and people are tired of it, or because of blu ray officially winning the next gen format war, I did notice sales really picked up when that happened.. But in all seriousness, the 360 has a very good game library, why has it been getting outsold?!

Also infamous is suppose to come out Spring 09. So ps3 owners will probely get another good game a in may-june. also there might be a good chance god of war 3 coming out during march 09imapieceofwood

Here is how i think 09 should go down.. Killzone 2 in February, Gran Turismo 5 in say June, Infamous end of July, Final Fantasy XIII in September and God Of War 3 in Mid November.. If they could pull that off. I guarantee that not only would PS3 surpass 360 but it would also start outselling the Wii!!

Think about it.. We are talking about Feburary, the SLOWEST month in gaming of the year!! NO other consoles will be releasing anything as huge as Killzone 2, Just like sony started this year off with a HUGE bang by winning the console war they are going to start 2009 off with a HUGE bang with Killzone 2! Just think, MS nor Nintendo have anything huge planned (unless they announce something at E3) for the begigining of next year, Killzone 2 coming out in february will guarantee the PS3 outselling the 360 even more months until the summer of 2009 or until atleast 360's next big game comes out!! I thought it was a brilliant move for MGS4 to be released in the Summer when no other console was releasing anything big because the PS3 will surely be outselling the 360 now quite possibly until NOV when Gears 2 hits!

Just remember, the PS3 has been either outselling or selling neck in neck with MS for the past few months with just the Crappy 40 GB model, with NO 80 GB model for the last few months.. Oh and for those that say killzone 2 will flop just because the first one did, well if MGS4 has taught us anything its that ANYTHING can happen.. I remember when a majority of people thought it would be impossible for MGS4 to get anything higher than a 9.0 here, well we all saw how that turned out!

kungfuchaos

Unless of course you are forgetting that in all likelihood the 360 will have its own mid winter big game(s)...Splinter Cell Convictions and Infinite Undiscovery come to mind and if rumors become fact, Resident Evil 5 on a timed exclusive as well!!! KZ 2 just looks like another FPS to me. What is the story? What kind of online play will it have? Alot is unknown about KZ 2 and I wouldn't be so fast to crown it a AAAE just yet!!!

You might be right.. But the fact remains is PS3/360 gamers want games that are action packed, great multiplayer and FPS they dont care if its not exactly "fresh" or innovative.. Great examples are Resistance 2, Gears,COD4 and Halo 3.. NONE of those games bring anything to the table but they are such great sellers because thats what gamers want.. your typical 360 gamer wont really care about infinite undiscovery, look how poorly Ninja Gaiden 2 is doing

And besides.. the next EGM issue they are doing a HUGE 12 page cover story on the game after getting some hands on time with it, If EGM thought the game was gong to be garbage they wouldnt even waste their time making a 12 page article cover story about the game! Again this is EGM we are talking about, so its not like they are fond of sony in the least bit, anyone remember the battlestation issue by EGM?! So yea, if EGM out of all people are giving this much attention to the game, that is really telling a story

I am confident 110% Killzone 2 will be AAA here and critically acclaimed by other sites as well.. I know the first one flopped but today is a totally different playing field.. Back then Guerilla was pretty much a studio running out of the basement with very little time and money.. Today they are owned by sony and sony is throwing all the time and money in the world at this project and besides Killzone liberation scored a very solid AA here and thats only a PSP game! Just think how far Killzone 2 will come.. After playing Killzone 1, I realized that guerilla arent bad devs at all, they had great ideas and visions for killzone but unfortunatley for them they had very limited money and time to acheive the goal.. Its a totally different ball game now
