[QUOTE="HardQuor"]And that so-called "gang bang" ad is ridiculous. How many people would come to the conclusion that it depicts a gang bang if they had never been told that's what it was? It is only subliminally suggestive.Cherokee_JackIt's a bunch of creepy shirtless guys surrounding a chick being pinned to the ground by another shirtless guy. What else would it be interpreted as? It's an ad, it doesn't have to be interpreted as anything. She's fully clothed, and they all have pants on. There've been tons of commercials and print ads far more risque than that. Hardly a gang bang, from what i understand, those require full nudity and penetration of some sort.

I have no doubt that regardless if this ad sees print or not (i'm betting it wont, but i could be wrong), it's already making it's waves. the blogs are blogging, people are debating amongst themselves. Mission accomplished. Whether it's right or not doesn't matter, it's making them money, because all the chatter is creating Pepsi awareness.
And now for my contribution to Pepsi's bottom line: The ad itself doesn't hurt anyone. Those that have been affected by suicide are either dead, or are worried over nothing. The ad doesn't encourage the act, survivors of suicide victims shouldn't feel that this is a slight against them. War widows don't picket war games do they? So why should anyone be ruffled about this? And that so-called "gang bang" ad is ridiculous. PSP for this very reason. Also, with a PSP, unlike an iPod, your purchase wont be outdated by another hardware iteration 6 months later. I don't understand the logic of buying a product because they won't make a better version of it. It's not like it changes what you bought. I think that's a dubious claim anyway as they actually have improved the PSP and they probably will further. I could see like not buying the first version of a product because there will probably be a better one and the first run is usually the most likely one to have problems, but to say that you'll buy something simply because there will not be a better one doesn't really make sense to me. I mean, if you could have a cardboard box knowing that there will not be a better version would you take that over an iPod Touch? That's not meant to deride the PSP; I'm just saying that line of reasoning doesn't really make a lot of sense.[QUOTE="HardQuor"][QUOTE="dmc333"]Nokia n810. Anyway, n810 plays all that? I'm going to guess illegally but that would be pretty sweet.
In Apple's case, it's not that they simply release newer versions, it's that they release newer versions for almost literally any reason, and at incredibly short intervals. No one likes buying a product at a premium price to find that there's a newer version of it released 6 months later, because no one wants to feel like they've been left in the digital dust of progress. Again, unique to Apple is the fact that this progress is fabricated. Also, with so many iterations, accessory manufacturers hardly are able to keep up supply for every version, and are forced to support the newest versions over the older ones. And i may be wrong, but i believe that up until the ipod touch, once a newer ipod was released, it meant no more firmware updates for previous versions of the ipod. All in all, the constant reiterations are just a marketing technique, used to dupe users into buying more of the same, in the name of vanity.Nokia n810. After World War Hulk, I'd have to say Hulk would wipe the floor with all of them and more.ownage_deniedDidn't Hulk defeat Tony Stark in World War Hulk? Honestly, those are the only 2 real contenders on the list.
[QUOTE="HardQuor"]The Lion King or Spawn. Depends on my mood. What's all this crap about the LotR soundtrack? Didn't it feature Enya? ENYA!?Cherokee_Jack
ONE song. And it wasn't that bad.
Oh, and I should have mentioned John Williams' soundtracks for Spielburg films.
The single most epic song that i ever heard playing along with LotR was Lux Aeterna, in the two towers trailer... but it wasn't in the movie, and most likely wasn't on the soundtrack, either. LotR soundtrack probably had a great score, but that song's exclusion make it fail as a top contender. Not I. Although, if I were in your position, i'd totally listen to new genres of music. Would be interesting to find out you were actually a fan of music you used to hate, or hate music you used to love.I have pretty bad ears where my ears doesn't drain the fluids behind the ear drumbs very well, therefore will impair my hearing... I wouldn't be able to hear normal voices in the room, and would have to make people shout out.
Today I had my tubes replaced in my ear drumbs and they drained all fluids, and I totally hear things that I never usually pick up. I'm soo excited, like right now, I never noticed how friggin LOUD my keyboard is when I type HAHA.
Have you had any similar experiences that helped you hightened your senses?
