Actually, here's the Gamespot thread that I pulled that picture from. Read for yourself.

Im sorry but the intercooler part is hard to believe.Travis_Odell

Here's a picture of someone who ripped off a melted intercooler.

That brown part is where it gets WAY too hot. That's the part that will meld itself to your 360. Honestly, it's not a necessary accessory.
Just trying to help sir.
And also, this is a minor version of what I have seen at work. This looks a LOT better than the intercoolers I saw. We couldn't even get one off of this one lady's Xbox, ha ha.

BuMp, halp anyone

i have no idea if its a dhcp problem aswell :(

i really wanna get back online playing gta iv :)

1st of all...You're not missing much if GTAIV is all you're trying to play...but aside from that. Seek the infamous 1-800 number on the back of the router's box. Talk to those people for about 54 minutes. When they aren't able to help you. Call your ISP (internet service provider) and have them -not- help you for 1 hour and 26 minutes. Then, when you're done with that, call microsoft and tell them your problem (after waiting for about 57 minutes). Once you're done with that, you should be good to go.

EDIT: Then, once you're angry and sick of all this technology not working. Trash the router you have and go to Best Buy. Get the Dynex wireless N router for $69.99. Fumble through the junky instructions that come with it and then you'll have your elusive online play.

The multiplayer is pretty bad. The campaign was great but it is not a good format for multiplayer deathmatches.z3dd1cu5

I think this is the most accurate thing I've read in this whole thread. Nicely put, sir.

Are wireless controllers better? Also, is getting the Wireless Network Adaptor for $100 worth it (does it have connection problems), or is the ethernet cable good enough? Is the wired headset good enough? Also, does the cooling fan work, or should I just leave the 360 alone?

thequietguy

1. Wired controllers are better. The response time is quicker, but you sacrifice mobility. And by "wired" I mean the controllers that actually have the wire BUILT IN to it. Not a wireless controller with the charge cable plugged in, ha ha.
2. That network adapter is not good. You can find a much cheaper wireless receiver that will work just as good, if not BETTER. I would only use a wireless method if you absolutely HAVE to though. Wired connections will ALWAYS have a better "ping" when compared to a wireless one. (That means more bars for those who need a visual representation of what ping is.)
3. Stick with the wired headset. The wireless counterpart has a subpar battery life and when it starts to get low, the people you're playing with will notice well before you. (I.E. Crazy amounts of static on their end. Not fun to listen to.) Also, you'll lose the ability to turn the mike on and off with relative ease (Which I consider a handy feature when the girlfriend is yelling at me to stop playing...heh) and the ability to adjust the volume of other people talking with relative ease. So when other people with a wireless mike have a low battery, you'll have to suffer through it. (And by relative ease, I mean you'll have to press somewhat hard on the peice attached to your ear in order to get the desired effects.)
4. Intercooler? That's an easy one. DON'T BUY IT! AHHHH. I work for Best Buy and I've seen countless people bring their 360's back with an intercooler that has been literally welded to it. The intercooler got so hot that it actually MELTED itself on to the unit. Bad news.

Hope that helps bud! :D

I hate collection achievements with a passion. They add false time to a game so that the developers can say a 5 hour game is really 40 hours. Lame. That's why I'll never finish the achievements for games like Crackdown, Assassin's Creed, GTA4, etc...

You should check my most recent blog. I actually made a "Top 10" list of 360 games I currently like and play. Oblivion is number 1 on that list! :D
