Okey guys, listen. You obviously know ALOT more of computers then I thought you did.

Therefore I now regret giving you only minor information. Sorry for that.

Yesterday I tried downloading drivers for my soundcard. Well, everything with the DOWNLOAD worked OK but when I tried to install the drivers a message came up saying that there was no soundcard I could install the drivers to.

Funny, since I've got a separate soundcard in the computer. I tried doing a "systemrestorement" to a week ago when everything worked - No results.

A message is ALWAYS in the desktop at the lower right side saying I ain't got a sound"unit". I try searching for it but the computer itself can't find it and therefore doesn't show it.

It's NOT a problem with only the GAME since I haven't got ANY sound at ANY time, including start-up and turning OFF the computer.

A week ago (before the error happened) a message came up during start saying I've got a dated Bios (WTF?!) and said that I should contact the manufacturer for an update.

This is also weird, since it's a very new computer "made" by Sweden's most trusted company - Komplett (www.komplett.se) .

I will send back my computer tomorrow for repairment but I would still like to know what this problem is, since I've NEVER encountered this in my entire life and have NEVER heard of it.

Any thoughts mates?

///Heavy.

I think I have done that, yeah, and if I do recall it correctly, there was NO sign of the sound card.

Hello guys.

My pc i nearly a month old and yesterday I played Heroes of might and magic 5 on it. Everything worked fine, it's a good comp IMO.

Then suddenly the picture froze and of course I knew that the game crashed.

Well, here's the trickt part. When it crashed, my speakers started making some kind of infranoices, like the beeping you hear when a TV is in "standby", but MUCH louder. So I turned down the volume and had to reboot my computer by pressing the off-button.

Now, when it had started no sound could be heard, and when the desktop had loaded up a message saying that I haven't got a sound(Unit?) came up. In other words, my sound was wiped away.

I tried DXDIAG but when I pressed "sound" no drivers or name of my soundcard was "typed".

What am I to do? And how in God´s name could this happen???:S:S

I didn't do anything, my comp was updated and I have NO viruses? WTF!

Please help me.

Spec:

Processor: E6850
GPU: XFX Geforce 8800 GTX
RAM: 2 gig
Sound card: X-FI xtreme gamer

I haven't overclocked anything, everything original and the computer is barely a week old.

AND I don't consider this as wrong board, since the COH board is kinda dead and this is a hardware forum.

Hey guys.

I've bought this new comp and Company of Heroes with it.

Now, my problem is, the game crashes, and I don't know why.

My drivers are fully updated to the latest ones. I've tried playing it on Dx 9 (got the Dx10 ver) and therefore have tried to lower the graphics. Same **** happens, about 10-15 min into game.

Suddenly the picture starts to lag, BUT NOT THE GAME. The game flows as good as always but everything is kinda choppy. Happens in about 5 sec.

THEN, it freezes, and crashes to the desktop, saying that my monitordrivers have stopped to work andare now "rebooting themselves".

I try again, and same **** happens. Why guys?

Comp Spec:

XFX Geforce 8800 GTX - latest drivers.

E6850 C2D - shouldn't have problem with the game

2 gb RAM

It doesn't make any sense? :(

Yes, I am.

I am the only user of the computer.
