I've decided on gettinga PS3 over the Xbox...now one of the issues is cost. I found someone selling a YLOD Ps3 for 100 bucks...he told me I could easily fix the YLOD for 10 bucks. I'm just wondering if this is possible/a good deal? I'm really short on money and this would be a good price for me.

I would be very cautious with screen protectors. My last DS has a screen protector on the top screen, and I tried to wipedirt on itwith a semi damp cloth; the water literally got stuck inbetween the screen protector and the actual screen, creating a bubble that never ever evaporated. =/

Honestly, I do not think it isneeded...as long as you're careful with it then you have no need to use screen protectors.

^ THIS.

I had a choice between the lite and the DSi...and I chose the DSi for these reasons and for the bigger screens (make a huge difference, imo), better speakers and matte finish. I hate having to wipe fingerprints all the time.

Just a curious question. I was wondering if the server will still be up or if it'll be dead and not working - let's say I still have my DSi 20 years later and want to buy some DSiWare. Will I still be able to go into the shop?

The DSi's D-pad is a BIG improvement from the lite's. The lite's was squishy and sometimes you couldn't tell if you executed the command or not.

With the DSi, you'll know exactly when you click the D-pad as it clicks securely and is not "loose" as fore mentioned. Trust me, you'll be pleased with it.

Well, I traded in my phat for my DSi, so...at the moment, 1. I didn't really utilize the GBA slot so I'd understand if someone kept their phat or lite or something.

Get it if you're a Kingdom Hearts fan like I am. I finished the whole game and I am quite satisfied with the cutscenes; it may get too repetitive with it's button mashing, but if you're a fan of the series you know the deal. :p

I'd say go for the Dsi unless you're wanting to go with the bulk/size of the Dsi XL. I personally have the Dsi (I had a phat before just like you; traded it in) and am quite pleased with it. Of course, you could always wait for the Ds2....but that'd be a totally new system. Go for the Dsi.
