Ok I will try out Nero. I haven't used Nero in a while but I think I remember it being little faster.

E2160 overclocked to 360 GHZ (or 3-60, thats how it was written :/ ) Dual core

Crewman87

I think you mean 3.6 Ghz. If you are getting one running at 360 Ghz then it is on some heavy duty roids or it is from the future where they have figured out how to break the speed of light barrier. Just remember with great power comes great responsibility. :P

1. Put in Windows CD.

2. Let system boot from CD.

3. When it asks where to install chose drive C:

4. Chose a new installation and format drive C: ( Use quick format )

5. If you don't have a Windows CD call Microsoft and explain to them that your dog ate it and you would like to be sent a new one?

Which do you think is better? Nero Express or Easy Media Creator 7.5? Nero Express came with the DVD drive I just bought and I haven't used Nero in a while. The Easy Media Creator 7.5 I have is getting kinda outdated now. So any opinions of which of the two is better and why?

Also I thought I read that Securom might give me problems if I have Nero installed? I am doing some searches now to see what I can find out about that.

I loved my 8800 GTX 768MB. I would still be using it if it hadn't died on me. There were only a few games I couldn't max with it. But I enjoy my GTX 260 even more. I just wish they would quit making the cards bigger and bigger. My case can't handle a card if they get any bigger than the 260. If you are still using an 8-series there is no need to upgrade unless you are just one of those that has to have more power. :P

I've never heard of that but I did a Google search and found this. Take a look at it. It gives some easy but good trouble shooting tips. It might help you:

It is working now. I disconnected the DVD drive and was able to log into Windows without using safe mode. Then I turned off the computer and reconnected the DVD drive and again Windows booted up without me having to use safe mode. So everything is working fine now. I am still not sure what the cause of the problem could be?

I don't think it was a lose cable because I checked those a few times and everything was secure. I guess that might have been the problem. I am wondering if I disconnected the old DVD drive and then rebooted before hooking up the new one if that would have made any difference? Letting Windows first realize that the DVD drive has been disconnected before a new one was put in? I am not sure if that makes any difference at all?

Anyways it is all working now so thanks to those who gave me some tips on what to do.

It shows that the DVD drive is working. I have tried plugging into different USB ports but it only lets me into Windows in safe mode. I have no idea what is going on but I am pretty sure a fresh install of everything would solve the problem. Any ideas?
