I think gamespot reviews are mostly fair. Most of the criticism comes from fanboys who played a game and thought it was fun thus: OMG AAA!!! Then saw the review and it got like a 6.5 or 7.8 cause there are way more games they hadn't played that are hugely better. I thought gears was only a little overrated, I would have given it a 9.3. Other than that, I wouldn't have given tony hawk's a 10.0, though for a skateboarding game it was nearly perfect so I can see the score.
Historically the time to determine has already passed. 6 Months after release of ALL Consoles on the market has determined the winner everytime.
How the Consoles do in that first 6 months going against each other has always reflected the end results. Were 8 months into all consoles on the market this Gen and the trends have been slowing Sales for 2 of the Consoles and increasing Sales for 1. The Slowest Selling month of the year for gaming hardware even saw Big gains for 1 console.
People will say its too early to tell etc but just look back and youll see its not too early at all

You just pulled that out of your bum, what about genesis vs snes? First 6 months genesis was winning, Snes took it in the end.
Bwii is just to put out a different option for online shooting gaming for people, it's not really meant to steal sales away from halo 3. If people have wii I'm sure they'll buy it anyway if they want it.

I think it's possible, but very very unlikely. Simply because RES4 on the pc got a 7.8. Yes it was a bad port and this one is supposed to be better, but that just makes me think it will get AA.
