[QUOTE="elblanquito_81"]IThey should've just traded A-Rod when they had the chance or at least let him go after the season and sign some younger players instead of wasting all that money on him.MM87
I disagree. A-Rod is arguably the best baseball player of all time. The Yankees need to build the team around him, not trade him.

Agree. They should have given up there prospects in the off season and gotten some decent pitching.

They aren't in shambles, i know this because ESPN Radio has told me that Joba Chamberlin is the greatest player of all time.

You struck out Pat Burrell, FIST PUMP AND SCREAM!!!!!

But in all seriousness yes they are going to be in trouble for a long time because the red sox are going to have good pitching for the next few years.

The biggest problem is the same reason why America is one of the dumbest countries in the world. Media dumbing everything down doesn't help things either, and neither having a short attention span. Add that the only exposure to soccer/football that most Americans have is in the little leagues, and because of the fact that most of them would grow out and move to American Football, Baseball, and Basketball, it's a big problem.

As for the MLS, their best move so far have been expanding it to Toronto, where there is a fanbase that actually cares about the beautiful game.

Stop trolling. Are you not capable of presenting your argument without insulting every American?

It's the media's fault? If it is a good sport i shouldn't have to have a talking head tell me that.

Also, try to realize that basically you could switch soccer and America for football and Europe and try to have the same argument. Neither country cares about the sport.

As for your trolling, lets go back to the post where you tried to tell me that I, a stupid fat McDonalds eating American, was stupid like the rest of my country and thought Beckham was the best soccer player in the world.

I like soccer, but you would never know that, you just walked in with the flamethrower turned on high and tried to make it an America-vs-Europe thing.Ilived

What I meant by that is the lack of knowledge people have there. Do your realize how much unnecessary money MLS spent to get Beckham in the US? Why did they do this? Well because he is a big celebrity in the US what with all the 'bend it like Beckham' bs going around there. Fat McDonald's eating Americans? I never said that and you just assumed that is what I said or that's how I think. The MLS keeps bringing European football rejects to the league in order to somehow get people interested in their league(the ones who actually like european football).

The owners can make there own decsions about players, it costs the league nothing. And of course its an atttempt to get people to watch the league. What else would it be. ANd MLS popularity has gone up with Beckham, granted not much, but some.

You do know that people watched soccer in the US when Pele played for the Cosmos. The owners simply are trying to do the same thing to a league that not enough people care about. I don't understand why you view this as a negative thing.

Ok I will keep this cordial if you do from here on out.

All this nation wants is power, and will stop at nothing to get it. xTw1st4x

Please, expand on this thought. And don't use the erroneous claim that the war was for oil.

But it was for oil :?.

Anyways, the first war the states ever fought in was a war for power over England's rule. The United States actually wanted power so much that we fought EACH OTHER in the civil war. The south didn't like the way the north wanted to monopolize the nation, and the north hated that the south was trying to secede, so war ensued. I would go on and mention The Great War and WWII, but I am already getting enough strange looks for tonight ;).

So your example are

1. We break away from persecution from England.

and

2. We stop half our country from seceding?

Those don't seem particularly bloodthirsty american power grabs to me.

you're a fat homo

glad your back :)
