Just so I'm clear on your viewpoint, if someone lives in their grandma's basement rolling around in their own poop while sucking on broken glass-but they are ultimatly extremely happy...thats a winner? If they truly enjoy life as it is and are truly happy then yes, their life is better then any one of us working jobs we absolutely hate just to get by. Of course if your mooching and ruining other peoples lives to selfishly fuel your own happiness that's not a winner in my eyes. but to each his own I guess.
Thought I would do some reading on your behalf out of bordom. I dont believe you can delete songs directly on your phone, it's all done through itunes. You may already know that part but here are a couple solutions if you are having trouble deleting them in itunes and managing your playlists. I know when I had a ipod it was a pain in the ass. Two solutions: If you are syncing your whole library with your iPhone, connect your iphone to your computer, in itunes, select your iphone under devices on the left sidebar. on the summary tab, there is a checkbox entitled [Manually manage music and videos), check this box and when you navigate to music under the iphone in devices, you should be able to remove specific songs from your library. If you are not syncing all your music to the iPhone, you can create an iPhone playlist, which you can add or remove songs from, when you sync these changes to the iphone playlist will be updated on the iphone.
