Those U2 pics are not ingame they are prerendered using the U2 engine.themerlin

I'm playing Uncharted 2 on a 32" 1080p Vizio TV, and you really can't tell a difference from cut scenes from actual game game play. Here I post Screen shots of Uncharted 2, Killzone 2, Heavy Rain, Gran Turismo 5, Gears of War 2, and Alan Wake, and see who is the graphics king. I'm going for Heavy Rain and Gran Turismo 5.

I might sound like a fan boy, but I'm not. You can go up to people I know and they will tell you that I would take a Xbox over a PS2, but I'll will not take a 360 over a PS3. I can also prove that the PS3 is better or the same vs the 360. Such as the PS3 supports more media formats, PS Video store has more movies then XBL Video market place, the PSN Community can stick to a game longer then the XBL Community, and the skill level is the same. For example I bought BFBC Gold Edition a day after the game released for the PS3. After a few weeks then I went to a friends house he bought the game for the 360 (this is before I got my 2nd 360 and a 2nd copy of BFBC) I play could not find a difference in skill level and I scored 500 points pretty much in every round I played. Since I'm old 360 owner so yeah most of my games are old, but people are still playing RFOM, Motor Storm, Rainbow Six Vegas, War Hawk, and Call of Duty 3 on PSN. What do these games have in common there all launch titles. The only Launch title for the 360 that I know is Populated is call of duty 2 It's probally only because it's a pouplar game.

[QUOTE="Trmpt"] Yeah but what if most of them have conflicting opinions? You'll just be back to where you started.MizFitAwesome

Last resort look at previews, trailers, and game play videos. If that fails then don't buy it.

Sorry, that just doesn't cut it. I can download every trial version of an XBLA game and then see if I like it enough to warrent a purchase and that over rides anyone elses opinion. You can't say the same about PSN.

How are previews, trailers, and game play videos a opinion? Yes it's nice to play a demo before buying the full game, but as I said most retail games don't have demos, but people buy them any way. Also playing a demo before buying a game is your opinion most people I know just buy games, because demos are to short.

EDIT: I'm not saying PSN not having demos for ever PSN title is good thing. I'm just trying to say theres other ways of finding information on a game. For people like me who own both consoles can play the demo on the 360 and buy the full game on the PS3.

Reviews are only someones opinion.

True, but there's enough of them to get a basic idea of the game.

EDIT: Most retail games don't have demo's on the PS Store and the XBL Market Place so why is this such a big deal. There's no demo for Halo 3, but I bought any way. There was not a demo for Resistance 2, but I bought any way. You know why because they looked like somthing I wanted to play.

Boy , you cows are still trying to reassure yourselves PSN is better?

  1. An XBL gamer can verify another user by using their gamertag, they would know if that person owns a system and plays it. Anyone can fake a PSN gamertag, that is so weak. You PSN players can't prove yourselves, XBL players can.
  2. EVERY XBLA game has a trial version so you can sample the game and see if you like it before buying. PSN, only a fraction do, but you get a nice cheesy video of the game.
  3. EVERY XBLA has full acheivement support. So the game has enough replayability to attempt to get all of the Acheivements. Only a fraction of PSN games do and by far the most useless PSN game that has Trophy support is 'Linger In Shadows.'

Trmpt

What? You can't fake a PSN account. yeah not all PSN games come with demos thats what reviews are for since the PS3 has a web browser it's easy to look at one. Ever PS3 game from 2008 and on has trophy support. Some older games were patched to have trophies others were too old to care for by the developer. I never read a post on here that said PSN was better then XBL. What I can understand people including my self say XBL is not worth the money compared to PSN, because basically there the same.If you really look at it the only thing PSN does not have that XBL does is In game private chat and Netflix. If you look at my sig I have a gold membership so I can easily compare them. You also have to realize that XBL been around since Nov 2001 while PSN has only been around since Oct 2006.

[QUOTE="Cloud567kar"] Who DOESNT have a pc lmao? Also why dont you look up what live hast to offer before posting. Also how is talking to people on other game ok? What if you dont have the game they have for ps3? You can barely ever talk to them then on ps3.MortalDecay

We have chat rooms just can't use them in game. @Cloud567kar XBL updates once or twice a year while PSN updates 10 times a year watch this video and tell me we have to be charged to have new features.

10 times a year? How is that a good thing? What are they updating? Wow...I never thought of it like that...MS can add more features to Live in 2 updates, than Sony can in 10 updates to PSN.

The point is that Sony is always making changes to the PS3 and PSN. I wouldn't say MS is bringing a lot of new features with the updates. The last update we just had just gave us back old features that they took away, Avatar Market place (Which PSN already has it's called the mall in PSHome.),Games on Demand which is another feature that PSN already had, but does not have as many games to download.

I don't get it why you guys defend xbl saying it's the best service out there.

what do they offer early demo's ?? wtf..... those things are even paid for by the distributors because it's advertisment for their game and hoping you will buy it.

so that would be a really stupid reason why to justify to pay for xbl.

let's see what do they offer....

omg you can chat even to people in a difrend game..... wow just wow what a briliant service this is.

wow nice microsoft points :) great then beside your xbl they can even get more cash out of you.....

to buy nice themes and avatars (that is really sad but hey you have to pay for them so they should be great.)

oh and a few small games. ( those are okay to pay for I guess )

srry as a pc gamer I can't see why you guys can justify paying for those things.

I agree it's nice they added a lot of features in one programm and that all games have to support it ( but that's normal being a console and not a open platform)

but I wouldn't want to pay for what they offer because I don't think they offer much anny way.

it's not like when you buy a xbox 360 you get a live card and you can plug and play ...... no you have to have a internetconnection through a provider 2.

so if you don't have a pc because you only want to play on that console you would also need a subscription at a internet provider ( so what does live really offer you ?? )

Cloud567kar

No thats not true i have done it on my xbox 360 watched an hd-dvd movie (yes i still love the better format another arguement for another time) my downloads still kept going. On the PSN i was watching a Kingdom of Heavan directors cut and it stopped downloading (for whatever reason) that movie is long as hell and all i was downlaoding was the patch to street fighter hd remix and it resumed after logged back on. Bottom line is that the PSN should not have servers that take 80 years to download a game especially when its online only and you cant play unless you get the patch. Vipa37

Is that movie on Blu ray? if so blu ray is online enable thats why the game quit downloading.

The fee is certainly questionable, no matter how "cheap" it is. Unless they're maintaining dedicated servers and such for their games -- which they don't, other than the occasional MMO which requires a separate subscription fee -- playing online multiplayer should be the free aspect of Xbox Live. I'm sure they make more than enough from Marketplaces purchases and advertising to pay their bills.

Paying for extras is understandable. But if anything on Xbox Live is free, it should be the most basic of online gaming functionality: multiplayer.

xDimMaK

Yes PSN does not offer dedicated servers, but theres dedicated servers on PC that are free to play on. which proves my point XBL should be free.
