It was much better back when it came out, in its prime, more populated multiplayer. I still highly recommend it, it's a good game to have part of your collection. Good singleplayer, the multiplayer is probably the best on the 360. in fact, i just went back and started playing it again the other day. Just as fun as it was on Emergence Day. If you have not bought Gears Of War, you are not a true 360 owner.

MOH: Airborne was a decent game. It's fun and different but is extremely short and not historically accurate to say the least. To say the most about its historical accuracy, well let's just say that the developers got bored with history and tried to make their own. The AI is great, well atleast for the enemies, i guess they had to make it challenging, so they made your AI partners about as useless as a bunch of scarecrows. Also, you don't get the feel of a massive battle, there are usually only maybe 10 guys on screen at once, 3 or 4 of those being your partners. I enjoyed the short time i spent with the game, but thats probably because i didn't pay for it. It is worth giving a look see, but the best thing to do is hook up an Xbox Live connection and try out one of the demos section so you can get a general feel for the 360 lineup. If you cannot live without a WWII shooter, check out Call Of Duty 2, if you have never played a Call Of Duty game, please get number 2 and not number 3. If you are a fan of the series then you probably already know not to get Call Of Duty 3, it being a different developer and all, plus it is horrible for a game that uses the Call Of Duty title.

The biggest problem with Oblivion is immersion. Immersion can save a game from really bad design mistakes, while a lack of it is a proverbial shotgun blast to the testicular fortitude. Take for example, Assassin's Creed. Yes, it had some bad design choices (particularly with the ending as far as I'm concerned), but go into it with the right mindset, and it'll suck you in like a thousand-dollar whore. Mass Effect has immersion out the yin-yang, while Oblivion just feels like it'd rather I stay the hell out or grind like some retarded MMO.codezer0

Heh, i'm seeing some Zero Punctuation quotes in there.

I do not understand why infinity Ward let's Treyarch develop those crappy games like Call Of Duty 3. Treyarch is just trying to get the unsuspecting gamer to buy their games because they have the Call Of Duty title, and it is ruining COD's reputation as a good series. I have faithfully played their games since the first one on the PC and then later played COD2 on the 360 at launch. I was soooo happy that the Call Of Duty series had gotten the amazing followup it deserved. So i was really delighted to find that i only had to wait one more year for Call Of Duty 3, as i'm sure alot of people out there were. I ran out and bought COD3 the instant it came out, only to find that it sucked, horribly. The Call Of Duty formula was there, but it was twisted until unrecognizable. I couldn't believe that Treyarch could screw something up that bad. Treyarch is simply screwing up the well earned reputation that Infinity Ward started. Hopefully Tryarch will do better with COD5, but i suppose we'll find out. Anyone else feel this way?

Ehhh, sorry for the rant, i got cought up in the moment i suppose.

For RPGs, it would be a good idea to go grab KOTOR 1 and 2. Good time wasters, they get you sucked in and will not be boring. I understand you didn't like Mass Effect, but give Knight of the Old Republic a chance. Plus it is Star Wars and Star Wars is awesome. You also can't go wrong with Oblivion, good game, just lacking environmental variety.

For a good game that will get your blood lust going, Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 or Condemned 1 NOT 2.

If you need a good shooter, Call Of Duty 2 is amazing. I got the game at 360 launch and it kept me entertained for a loooong time. It feels alot different from COD4, other than the fact that it is a different time setting, COD2 just seems more ummmm epic. The battles were more awe inspiring to me.

For stealth, check out Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory. Chaos Theory is the best one in the series, and the ragdoll of the enemies is entertaining every time. It's also a good co-op game if you have friends that aren't idiots.

If you like RTS then you bought the wrong console. Though for a rather random reccomendation, Sins Of A Soar Empire is really good time waster, if you have a pc that can run it of course.

I'll say Mass Effect as well. ME was amazing to me, the story is excellent, combat fun and different for this style of game, dialouge was well written, lots of side quests as well. Oblivion is longer than Mass effect, but i played through Mass Effect three times so it rounded off to about the same length. One of the few problems with ME is that alot of the extra planets look alike, but Oblivion only has one environment: Green Forest. Sure they threw in a bit of snow for kicks and giggles but that makes no difference. They are both great games but i simply enjoyed Mass Effect more.

Hm i wouldn't really count Crisis Core as a JRPG. Anyways, no the game isn't too hard, some boss battles seem unfair at times, but what JRPG doesn't have really annoying bosses that test your patience? It also depends on how big of a JRPG fan you are. I personally prefer games like KOTOR, Mass Effect and Oblivion before games like Lost Odyssey. If you are hardcore JRPG lover then you will feel right at home in LO, the story is excellent, the 1000 years of dreams make your eyes well up with tears, battling is fun, and the graphics are excellent as well.

Sorry for the long and kinda irrelevant post, my inner critic came out.

I thought Oblivion was a great game, it felt massive at the time. There were sooo many fun quests, all were interesting and well written. The main questline sucks worse than any other i have ever played though, the Oblivion gates that you have to go into are the most annoying things that i've encountered in a long time. Also the environment is beatiful, but there is only really one. Green forest. Sure there is an acre of snow thrown in for kicks and giggles, but it makes no difference. I feel that a desert would have been interesting, but apparently the environmental designers arent that imaginative. Regardless of those issues, Oblivion is still a great game that is a good thing to waste your time.

I have an 8800GTS, and all that jazz, but im worried about my CPU which is only an intel dual core T5450, 1.7GHZ. You guys think i'd be able to run it? That's really the only reason i haven't bought the game yet.

ya u heard me, im not getting gta4, i have never owned any gta games and not ashamed of it. i might get it but i highly doubt it, ok im 14, my mother dosnt even like me buying games like halo and what not, they still dont care, but my mom dosnt like them, i highly doubt ill be able to get gta4 unless i go to bestbuy where no one evr checks for agedsman418

Dude, you covered like fifty different things in one sentence, and half of them were irrelevant. If you weren't getting GTA4 in the first place, why bother making us waste ten more seconds just to tell us that you probably can't get it. I personally am only 13 years old, my mom will not buy it. Anyways, you good sir are an idiot, and I hope you stop making all teen gamers look bad.
