Just curious, it has been i think about two months now and i havent heard anything else about it. Microsoft must've forgotten about its "important" customers.......big suprise heh.
It is indeed excellent but there are several problems such as:
Team Fortress 2 servers are alot of times VERY laggy.
If you have played Half Life 2 and/or Episode 1 before then don't spend your money on it, the only other amazing game is Portal which you'll beat in only one sitting.
Half Life 2 episode 2 sucks i was very disapointed.
I played oblivion for a couple of hours but i just thought the gamplay was boring plus a lot of the environments were repetative. so does mass effect have more veriaty in its environments and is the gameplay more fun maybe not as boring, because i', kind of interested in buying it.

Now it depends, i liked Mass effect much more because of the story and combat. Yet oblivion is much longer and has many more things to do. The enviroments in Mass Effect are not as varied, if you have been to one ice planet you have been to all of them. Overall id say go ahead and buy Mass Effect, you will play through it several times and it has a much better story, plus the graphics for Mass Effect are magnificent to say the least but sometimes you will suffer through frame rate issues.
While definately not the best game ever (nor the best RPG ever, both of those go to KOTOR), it was a fun rpg experience with an awesome story, a fun combat system, amazing graphics (best on the 360 to date), and a good game length and difficulty. Yet that does not mean it doesn't have its share of problems (what game doesn't?) in frame rate, and yes sadly enough the side quests were slightly bland, as were the planets they took place on. Yet that did not stop me from playing through three times. I also went into this expecting KOTOR quality but i settled for Mass Effect quality instead;) I fell as though you are being overly critical but everyone is entitled to their opinion.

lol then all in all it could be some sick april fools joke by gamespot lol. but we will see come april 1st though Geezzzz...I hope not. I am really looking forward to this game:D i know i am too. i love starwars games although i couldnt stand the lego starwars games. i loved kotor and jedi academy those were great, hell i loved the shadows of the empire on the n64, that game had some mood to it. The KOTOR series was the best in my eyes. I enjoyed Lego Star Wars the first time around, however, I am finding that The Complete Saga has only a few changes and was not quite worthy of my sixty dollars. The Force Unleashed looks like a phenomenal game but I am still in hopes of another addition of KOTOR. yeah kotor 1 was excellent kotor 2 was ok, i really liked those games. but i really liked the online battles of jedi academy that was really fun lol and very fast paced. bioware isnt going to make the next kotor, dont mean to dissapoint but there are supposed to be like 5 mass effect games. so they kinda got their hands full. but thats only rumor and speculation, from a fan that works up at gamestop but mass effect was a good game though, i really liked it. I did not have live during my Jedi Academy days, I might have to try that out now that I have it. Is it backwards compatible with the 360?
Yeah it is backwards compatible, i picked it up after beating both KOTORs. pretty fun but it isnt all that time consuming.
