This would have been a great game to get on a next gen console just to get the generation started, but unfortunately for me, Im not getting a PS4 til atleast march of 2014, so I will probably end up buying this on PC. On the bright side, I will have the best version of the game so that's a plus! I just hope it isnt as disappointing as BF3
blah blah blah specs. As I said in a previous thread, show me a PC that costs the same as a PS4 running a multiplat game and looking better. Until that day comes, PS4 is a better deal. I literally want to see a screenshot from fraps on said $400 PC playing said multiplayer game at the same (or higher if you want) resolution as the PS4 version and looking better while running at a similar FPS as the PS4 version. Give me that, and I will forever chant upon the mountain tops of the greatness that is PC.
Heat is a price AMD had to pay for its small size. It was to kept the cost to manufacture lower so they could under cut Nvidia. Its price for performance ratio is great.
I am waiting for Nvidia 780ti to start popping up before I think about buying it.
I genarally find that If you go with Nvidia, you're gonna get a working product out the gate. You go with AMD, your product will work, but the drivers will be a bit shoddy for a while, and you may have some overheating problems here and there. I personally went with AMD when I bought my gaming laptop. the AMD 7970m was giving out pretty much the same performance as the the Nvidia GTX 680m, yet cost $300 less. The only problem was that for people without Alienware laptops, who couldnt disable the iGPU, there was a driver issue with Enduro that caused the card to work at something like 50% GPU usage regardless of what game you were playing. In some cases you got terrible FPS (15-25) playing a game like COD4 on low. It was really quite terrible. But after some time they eventually fixed all those problems and it works like a charm now. I personally didnt regret my purchase. Yeah I had to deal with a few issues for a while, but for $300 less, I'm ok with that.
Does it feel strange to anyone that nearly every time a good advert or positive reporting on the X1 there is some unnamed source claiming the system can't do this or that? That's the way it seems to me. And how many rumor threads do we need?
At this point im just ready for the console to come out so we can seperate the BS from the truth. I feel like MS needs to do a better job with their PR department. They let toxic rumors fester for way too long, and they are purposely vague and evasive in matters that don't justify it. Why prevent the reporting of the resolution of COD on X1? No trade secrets to be found there or any such thing. The only logical conclusion that anyone can come up with is that its running at a resolution lower than PS4. But perhaps thats not the case, and if it isnt, I think MS should come out and say something. Yes, MS is having a pretty shitty time with all these random people coming out with a new rumor every day, but they could at least mitigate most of the damage by being open and transparent rather than being evasive as if they have something to hide.
