A R.U.S.E. sequel, I hope Ubisoft doesn't abandon it.

[QUOTE="trav_have"]I would have to get Skyrim. Although BF3 would be a close second, because it looks amazing...and is online. I have to pick Skyrim though because the way they have released their Elder Scrolls games, Skyrim would last around 5 or more years. People still buy Oblivion right now and it's almost the 5th anniversary. Battlefield and Call of Duty games come out every year, so MW3 and BF3 will basically be replaceable by then.

Battlefield doesn't milk like CoD, MW3 will be replaceable with the next CoD whereas BF3 will last a bit longer. Heck, we don't even know if DICE is making anything next year, so I could be wrong.

[QUOTE="UnchartedZone"]

Well, before I answer your question, did you just say that Battlefield is more suited for campers? O_O If there's big areas, camping would be less effective because fewer enemies would pass by whatever corner you'd be hiding in. Also, Battlefield 3 will have destructible cover, which completely counters camping altogether.

Anyways, most people (including myself) think MW3 looks bad and won't be getting it because it's the same thing all over again. At least Black Ops was a bit different because of the setting and Treyarch's approach (e.g. COD points, zombies), but based on what I've seen of MW3 (like the E3 demo), it looks exactly the same as MW2, even though a new developer is behind it. The same outdated engine is used, leading to an outdated look, dumb AI, etc. There is almost no care given for the COD games despite the fact that they are the most popular online games right now. Just look: there's overpriced DLC, no dedicated servers (at least Black Ops has them... only for PC), etc. The service and support isjust crappy overall. Plus, becausethe games are so popular, there is also a higher number of those annoying, whiny gamers with mics whodon't help the team, camp, etc. Sincethe Battlefield gameshave a steeper learning curve than COD games, it attracts less "nooby" players, and combined with thealready existing emphasis on teamwork in the Battlefield games, as well as the new tactical elements like destructible cover, manyplayersfind it a much more enjoyable shooter overall.

toffy666

when i said camping i meant for snipers, what crap service ur talking about cod games run like speed bullet train when i play online although i live in HELL(IRAQ) and my internet is worse than **** while when playing BF i always get disconnected , do u really think that only graphic (only for pc ) make a game and especially action or FPS no no i don't think so and did u see how BF run on PS3 it looked like crap COD demo was way better in terms of the graphic , anyway we can say nothing until launch date

Seriously? I'm not gonna try to get modded, but come on. CoD runs 60 fps. So what? BF3 (Console version) crushes it in graphical and engine standards, with what gameplay we've been given so far.

  1. They're lazy and make minimal changes yet still produce the best selling game of all time.
  2. Successful formula therefore results in lots of unoriginal multiplayer components which are also now beginning to overtake single player experiences.
  3. It has Elite going for it which caused a huge shamble.
  4. The map packs evidence Infinity's Wards greed even further. Not only do they put in minimal effort in comparison to games like Mass Effect and Uncharted but they charge you ridiculous amounts for map packs.
  5. These minimal changes mean it's easy to shell out a game every year like a sports series so people are becoming sick of this same shooter being churned out year after year and inspiring more dull shooters with short singleplayer and uninspired multiplayer aka Homefront rather than more original games like Mirror's Edge.
  6. And as well as all that a good 50% of the online gamers aren't even teenagers.

And those are just reasons at the top of my head. I'm sure I coudl think of another dozen given more time.

Rootbeer95
Agreed.
It's hated on because it's popular. I'm so **** sick of the "They never change it" excuse. Black Ops was a completely different game than Modern Warfare 2. Stop hiding behind BS excuses and just admit you have no reason for hating it.ACx7
No reason? Most of the reasons mentioned in this thread are the reasons I hate on it.

Okay, I've been hearing this rumor lately that for each game you wish to go online with, you will have to pay an extra $10. I've done some Googling and haven't really found any sources on this.

Please tell me the rumor is a lie. D:

RACiEP
I think it's for used games with online capabilities, they may (or may not) be introducing it into all games, not sure though.

Wow those 3 choices? 2 FPS games that are basically the same vs the awesomeness of Skyrim??!!!?? I would choose Skyrim.

MasterKingMP
BF3 and MW3 are entirely different. One's got a revolutionary (IMO) engine and new gameplay (as opposed to previous entries) whereas the other is DLC priced at $60.

The subscription lasts for 30 days since the day you got it. If your friends got it later than you, they will have it till later. Actually I got the subscription on June 26th so in theory I'll have mine until July 26th

Random-Target
I got mine on June 3rd and still have it. I'm set to expire at August 3rd for some reason.
