When you fight the same common enemies all the time, then have something extremely rare popup that you never thought existed, yea that's pretty terrifying yet exciting. That's something you want to see in a game.
As someone who hasn't seen ID2 because Smith wasn't in it, this isn't news I wanted to hear. Though I understand where he was coming from. Also from what I heard, he might not have been enough to save the movie.
