Hey,

Just wondering if there are any games similar to Civilization 6 that's in real time instead of turn based? Been a long time Civ fan and have been addicted to the series for years (since Civ III), I also love RTS games like C&C and Company of Heroes but thought it would be kind of cool if you could play Civ in real time.

Are there any big games out there that could be close to it?

Honestly guys, 1TB is pretty low compared to what game sizes are now. It should have been 2TB. Instead of paying $300 for another TB.

So from what I’ve read with the new Seagate 1TB NVME SSD they introduced for $300 (CAD), we can’t play any next gen games on let’s say my current Samsung external drive that I use on my X1S?

Based on this picture from their blog post. I just want to make sure I can play next gen games on my external ssd that I have, that’s my only concern.

You are responsible for your own computer. Your account got caught, plain and simple you were banned. Doesn't matter if the game is full of cheaters, they will get to them.

Also as someone born handicapped, don't pull that card out.

Hey,

I've been looking at getting a gaming monitor for a while now to replace my old IPS HP 23bw without breaking the bank. I wanted to stay with IPS because of the wider colors but VA has better contrast, so either or I guess. I want really good picture quality, with a good response time and i'm not a major competitive gamer so I don't want TN. If anyone is willing to help.

  • Budget $400 CAD ($500 if I really have to)
  • 27"- 32" Curved but not ultra wide
  • 1440p (2k)
  • 144hz/165hz
  • 1ms/2ms
  • WQHD
  • HDR
  • Freesync/Gsync

I understand it's a big list and i'll probably have to compromise on something.

I had initially found this on Amazon and thought it was perfect but found out it has no HDR, and if i'm going to be spending $400+, I feel it should have it.

Any help will be appreciated.

I used to be all physical disc only until they started getting scratched up and wouldn't run. So I started moving to digital and it's been a lot easier, especially not losing them. There was a point where I contacted EA and showed them my collection of games, CD keys as proof and they ended up just giving me the digital copies free. They probably don't do it anymore but those games are pretty old now (Sims 2/Command and Conquer).

I liked getting the steelbook box and maps with it. Nowadays i've just accepted this is the way it's going to be.

Would love to own one for Mario and Zelda, but it's been too much to invest in since I already have the other consoles. Maybe one day

So i've been debating for a while now if I should upgrade to an X1X if I already have an X1S. Note that the following prices are Canadian.

I can get an X1X for $465 on sale with 2 Controllers and sell my X1S on kijiji for about $200 maybe $250.

So is spending $265 worth it? I recently got myself an LG 4K UHD TV.

Thanks.

At first, I hated Steam because I didn't want to download a program just to continue playing Counter Strike. What was wrong with it before? Then slowly it grew on me, they added so much to the platform that now I can't game without it. Started slowly switching to all Digital and I don't remember the last time I went into EB Games or Best Buy to buy a game anymore. Now I prefer digital, though I do keep game saves backed up. Not gonna lie though, I do miss the midnight launches and waiting in line just to get home an play it. Read the manual or strat guide while waiting for game to install. Good ole days.

Also Steam has started to lack quite a bit during it's sales and it doesn't even make great games anymore. I really wanted Left for Dead 3, but that ain't happening. I also hate having an upwards of 5 diff platforms to play my games now. Everything is too spread out, especially with Epic entering the picture.

Steam will still be my main place to play games. I am guilty of buying Borderlands 3 on Epic games. I ain't waiting 6 months to play a game i've been looking forward to for a while now. Those two can duke it out, i'm still getting my game on release haha.
