While I admit the Abyss isn't that great, at least it's much better than Nest of Evil and the Large Cavern...

True. Grant looks incredibly badass, as long as you don't think of him as Grant.

If you're into 2D action adventures, the Castlevania games(Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin and Order of Ecclesia) are a must, and there's also Metal Slug 7. If you like the LoZ games(who doesn't?), you should get Phantom Hourglass. When it comes to RPG's, there's Chrono Trigger, Pokemon D/P, FFIV and the Advance Wars games(SRPG's). Mario Kart, Mario 64 and New Super Mario Bros. are also great games.

While I hate to admit it, the man speaks truth. The average Wii user isn't a hardcore one, and while we exist we are a minority.

I read this not too long ago at the FF4 board, and I'm extremely happy! But with DoW2, SF4, SH4 and possibly CVJ being released in February as well, I don't know what to get(I can only afford one, possibly two). Damn you, lack of money!

One of the things that makes SotN the best CV(After replaying it again, I must say not even OoE beats it) was the exploration. They just put you in a huge castle with no directions, and exploring it was really fun. In the post-SotN Castleroids, there was mostly 2 paths, one to a place you couldn't get past and another to the boss you had to beat to get through the first path. In SotN, there was often 4 paths or more, and you could choose whichever you liked! Other areas where SotN has yet to be surpassed are visual design and soundtrack. The only areas where the other Castleroids have surpassed SotN are the battle system and the difficulty.

I'm hoping this CV is hand-drawn 2D with a HUGE castle full of optional areas, among them a great post-ending area(Like the Abyss in DoS, but bigger). I also think the leveling system needs to go, because if it doesn't, exploring the optional areas means the non-optional path will be cake(because of all the leveling up you'll make).

I hate the battles. Instead of controlling one character, you control "unions", made up of several creatures(One of the parts I thought I'd like). You choose a command, like use combat arts, mystic arts, heal yourselves or just a normal attack. The irritating part is if you use mystic arts or combat arts, you can't choose which one to use - it's random. Super attacks are also random, so you have no idea when your characters will use them. When I battle, I want to be in full control of what my characters do(Unless some are AI like TWEWY and Tales series). Also, the battle camera is horrible, and the battle scenes are far too long. As if that wasn't enough, the main character is extremely irritating.

Anyway, I returned it today and got TWEWY and AW: Dual Strike instead. They are both awesome(Battling on both screens in TWEWY is kinda confusing, but it works really well).
