Yeah but some people do enjoy fighting games and DOA 4 and Virtua Fighter 5 are two very good ones. Then there is games like Kameo, PGR 3, Dead Rising, Viva Pinata and Guitar Hero 2 that aren't likely to come to PC. Mass Effect is in May and GTA 4 in October regardless of whether they get released on PC some time in the distant future.

No game is anywhere near perfect but if I had to give a game a perfect score it would be GTA: San Andreas for PS2. I can think of many flaws the game had but the game was just more impressive than anything else I played on the system. The other game would be NWN because of the huge amount of quality modules it has, even if you don't like the retail game your sure to enjoy a number of the modules created for the game.

I didn't even think Halo 2 looked that good back in 2004. The original Halo did look great for 2001 though.

but gta 4 is set to be smaller than gta sa.,Ā  yeah blu ray is not needed. rolls eyesSolidKratos

The map is smaller but it may have more content. Making a larger map if it's just desert, roadsĀ and forest doesn't use much space at all andĀ as the original post shows the majority of the space in SA was used for audio.

So Microsoft will be in the games industry until 2040 and make some of the best games made during that period. Is that what you were trying to say when you said they would be like Sega?

I don't think it would be possible to play GTA on the core with no hard drive. Too bad this game will probably get dumbed down for DVD9.Hot_Potato

Why would a game like GTA need a Hdd to run? The previous games certainly didn't and besides MMORPGs I don't see why any game would require a Hdd.

Of coarse blue ray is needed, it is progress, bigger is always better. Look at Mass Effect it already filled up the DVD9, and it is a second generation game. What if devs want to make an even bigger game. The only problem with blue-ray now is that it is slow, other than than it is very good. The more content the better.muscleserge

That's where multiple disc games come in. FF7-9 were multi disc asĀ are many other great RPGs.

Oblivion is only one disc, but it really could have benefited from more disc space. Much of the textures are frequently recycled, so it looks more like you're seeing tiles than grass sometimes. More disc space is always good for developers.Timstuff

Oblivion only uses about 4.5 GB so there was plenty of space left if the developers had the budget to use it.

Capcom really seems to be trying to break into the PC market. RE4, DMC 3-4, Onimusha 3 and now Lost Planet. However if they want to do well they are going to need to start doing better ports.
