If they wanted to make it bigger they could have. Oblivion is huge and that's only 4.5 GB. Even if space was an issue for the type of game they wanted they could have cut down on texture resolution or other areas and made the map as big as they wanted. Despite using the UE3 engine and having very high res textures I'm willing to bet Mass Effect is going to be bigger than GTA 4 or GTA: SA despite it using DVD9.
That's why I own a 360 and not the others... at this point in time. However the PS3 is coming to the point where I would be happy with it's games library if I didn't already have a 360 (many games are multiplat) and it wasn't so expensive. I do wonder why so many people are buying the Wii. At this point I think the PS2 is the better option if you want a cheap system and there are still good games coming out on it if you have already have one.
I think it will. Bigger games will need more space and games are only going to get bigger as the generation goes on. However the PS3's blue ray has the disadvantage of being slow and if games need to be installed to the Hdd then that's a problem too because 60 GB could get used up fast.

Yes and for the record my near launch PS2 still works perfectly. It's early days for my 360 yet but it's working fine too. Not everyone owned 2-3 PS2's and not everyone is going to own 2-3 360's.
And the idea of 10 mil ppl owning x360s would make it more like 15 - 17 million x360 salesarabi_89
Why? I would imagine the failure rate is not that large. It's also unlikely many people are buying the console twice since MS will replace any 360 that breaks within a year of purchase.
How many people went online with PS2, DC or the original Xbox for that matter? I have not connected any of my consoles to the internet and I'm sure not the only one. Out of the 24 million or so people that had the original Xbox I think only about 5 million or so had live. More people have live with the 360 it seems but I'm sure there is also many that don't.
