$1 is 80 US cents. Games are just expensive and even more so with Sony products. The PS3 costs $800 USD and the games are $80 to $96. While I have the converter out. The 360 is $480 USD with DOA 4 or PGR3 and the Wii is $322 US. Not that those conversion matter all that much. All that matters is $1000 is way too much for most people to pay for a console and that's why sales are likely to be slow for the PS3 here.

Sony says a lot of things but how many of them are true? The shops and sales tracking organisations would be the ones who know how many they sell. Sony only knows how many they sell to the shops. This is why people didn't believe MS when they said they had sold 10 million 360's because it's organisations like NPD that track that.
