I got around to playing Far Cry New Dawn because Ubisoft has it on sale on Steam. It's pretty alright. Like EA before them I highly expect Ubisoft to make its way back to Steam eventually.

I hope the show is good but I have very little faith in it. Dexter hasn't been good since season 4 and this reboot has always seemed dubious. The reviews do not surprise me one bit.
I never once said critics are always good. I never once said that critics represented the people. Here is the rub - critics represent themselves. The job of a critic is never to represent the people. Who told you that nonsense? The value of a critic stems from how consistent their opinions are so you can judge your opinion on things versus how the critics feel about things. If you find one that sees things like you - fantastic! If you find one that you disagree heavily with? Well that critic is fantastic as well because you can know if that guy liked something you might hate it!

It amuses me to no end seeing people excited for a Dexter reboot after the horrible final half of Dexter's run. What is even better is seeing their attempts at blaming reviews for saying its bad because of political differences. Cut off your nose to spite your face!
I'm happy for people who still enjoy these games. This means Ubisoft will keep the series around for a long while yet. The formula for these games have been stale for me for both old and new style. I think I've outgrown Assassins Creed.
