@oddshroom: ok buddy. I'm finding myself getting really bored at your ramblings and meltdowns over a 40 year old movie franchise. wish you the best and hopefully you realize that there are better ways to handle your outrage other than crying perceived sleights against you because a movie is going to have a woman in a lead role. If you ever need a friend let me know. Remember "no man is an island."
@oddshroom: Are you seriously this mad over nothing, buddy? I am reaching out as friends. I am not "whinging" (another word no one in real life uses) but rather offering advice for you. I see a very small person crying in a gamespot comment section over a 40 year old film franchise sequel that absolutely no one cares about. (On that note and a bit of a sidebar I would have preferred regardless the state of this movie being good or bad that they would have let the series rest after Ash vs Evil Dead.) We both know that is not what is really going on. You are upset and blaming it on this new movie instead of addressing what is really going on to make you act in such a pathetic manner. If you do not want to talk about it then that is fine by me. After this argument that you have clearly lost all I have left to do is offer you an olive branch.
@oddshroom: If you didn't care what I thought you would not have assumed I thought highly of Ghostbusters or whatever weird movie Birds of Prey is. (I looked it up and I would have to have nothing going on in my life to have ever watched something that looked so terrible.) Look how much of a meltdown you are having over a sequel to a 40 year old franchise. It would be hilarious if it wasn't so sad. "Snowflake." I think all you must do is watch outrage merchants on youtube and Tucker Carlson on TV. I feel horrible for you. There is much more to life than these buzzwords and soon you might find yourself having missed out. We can't get the years back and I just hope you don't look back and realized you wasted your life by not once thinking for yourself but quoting political buzzwords. If you need a friend I will be here for you, amigo.
@oddshroom: For a man who is projecting not being triggered your entire response is entirely WHAT ABOUT YOU. Draw another stickman to attack, man. You don't even know what I personally thought about Ghostbusters or whatever BIrds of Prey is. I can only hope that one day you see who you are today as a complete embarrassment and a waste to society.
Also did you seriously use smoothbrain in an argument? Do you even go outside, man?
@oddshroom: I'm sorry I triggered you. You're right I am the one without critical thinking judging a movie neither one of us have seen based entirely on emotion outrage and not my logic or facts. ...oh wait that's you.
@lonewolf1044: I just feel bad for these people who automatically assume "woke" is a bad thing. Can you imagine what it must be like to be them and lack any form of critical thinking?
I wonder what "overseeing production" even entails. I have to imagine its not extensive. Hope this port turns out better than Sony's efforts with Horizon.
Visually fantastic movie from a director that has not failed me yet. However the legacy of this movie entirely hinges upon if they can make a sequel completing the story of the first Dune book because without that this movie simply does not feel like a whole movie.
This seems Star Wars themed which is a given but I am hoping for a new Monkey Island would be cool but I'm not at all onboard with Ron Gilbert after his last few outings like Deathspank, the Cave or especially Thimbleweed Park and his ideas of eliminating what has came after Monkey Island 2.
