well i don't see any area in witch PC shooters are inferior but see quite a few where its superior so im not seeing what your getting atmurat8Like which? My point is that the pc doesn't really have any top-tier first person shooters that consoles don't have
I didn't really find any of those all that impressive. I've played BF for years and many of those happen almost every day.Ace6301He's saying that this is common stance. Which it is. if we want to find weird happenings in halo....jees darly.
So essentially same old generic "let's play pretend" arguement. Ahh....You seem to misunderstand the whole argument of PC shooters being better. Pretty much all conversation on this topic boil down to: More online options and freedom on PC, kb/m is a more responsive and accurate control method for FPS games, graphically PC games can be superior often thanks to mods. PC gamers for the most part do not give a damn about exclusives. Games are games. Its only SW people who fight over whats better based on the number of exclusives.

Many people claim because of easier to target not the platform it is on.SilentlyMadI'm addressing the whole pc fps are more advanced/better/etc. It's obvious that fps controls on console shooters work more than well and is a matter of preference between that and keyboard/mouse.....right? lol.

It happens in other games, but the way Halo is structured allows for more variation imo. It also has the best art direction of any fps game, by a long shot.
Halo's art direction is mediocre at best. There's nothing artsy about it.
An art direction is an art deirection as in a consistent style, iconography that's associable to that particular piece of media, in fact Halo's art direction is one of the best around, Human structures are instantly recognisable from their odd yet utilitarian angular structures to the cetacean like bulbous creations indicative of the covenant, to the simple geometry of forerunner structures and even to a lesser extent the biological giger-esque flood colonies, you may not like Halo's art style but to deny it as a strength is dis-ingenuous. People prefer bad designs. They see good designs and they instantly think generic. Not because it is, but because they equate iconic designs (aka good design) with generic. For them, things should blend in.It's so funny when people say this, and I just need to highlight it--> there aren't any good exclusive shooters for the pc aside from stalker. Many would pathetically argue Crysis, but the 2nd is coming to consoles.
So yea, please stop the myth that pc shooters are somehow more advanced, they aren't. They're just stuff on consoles but less.
And please, stop claiming Half Life 2, and Valve games in general for the pc. They're available on all consoles, and play just as well on the 360.
Isn't that completely untrue though? My whole point was this: Rare use to make games that filled out a library, as you described. They made the games that fit into the genres of need. Every single game they made was really just a ripoff of another existing game. Saying they're not more creative now is just stupid though, lol.the only way i could really see it is if you are new to gaming and are turned off by games from previous gens. Fact is that Rare was incredibly influential while they were with nintendo and now they are just there to fill out the 360's lineup. Good games but hardly cornerstones of the industry. I don't think they are more creative now btw. They are more creative for creativity's sake, but before they were actually rewriting the way games were being made back in the day

[QUOTE="ImageChef"][QUOTE="CDUB316"]....again...you guys obviously play numbers. The rating system at gamespot use to be much more...sporadic. There's more quality games coming out now than ever. Stop living in the past. Sorry. Not agreeing with you doesnt equate to living in the past or purely playing numbers. Im a Rare of old and have simply moved on. Give me a call when Rare gives a competant sequel to Banjo, Killer Instinct, Perfect Dark, Battle Toads, and Conkers Bad Fur Day. Grabbed by the Ghoulies, Perfect Dark Zero, a Conker remake, a Banjo spin off, Kameo and Viva Pinata dont cut it no matter how you slice it. And the true colors bleed out. I was personally talking about how tony hawk being AAAA wasn't really a AAAA even in the day. Anyway, I think this thread is settled. By the way, the numbers say Rare has remained quite constant. Since this is the only factual evidence for claims, we'll really just have to use that.yea, those gens had so many AA's and AAA's and even AAAA's....i wouldn't even wanna count them, it'd take forever
