You know, if it is necessary to discuss underrated games, without a doubt Kameo springs to mind. Banjo does as well, but obviously that is more of a controversial game (which I care not to discuss in this thread).

Anyway, this game. Never brought up in discussion, a very good innovative high quality game. So what gives? Why doesn't anyone mention it ever? It's such a great game and the only problem with it, being a not too long 8 hour game (without the meher side quests), is completely resolved now too, considering the game is $10 or so.

It's funny. I remember playing this at one of the demo-kiosks when the 360 came out. I immediately thought meh before I played it. Played the demo and...I sort of liked it...though it wasn't a must have then. However, it was until I played the game that I realized just how good it was. And you know, people complain about a lack of platformy games this generation
So what gives? Do we still have fairy-bias?

Halo never really interested me but i'd love to see it go to the ps3 just to see the s**t storm that would ensue

comments would include:

"LOL REACH NOT EXCLUSIVE!!1!! PWNZORZ LOLOLOL LEMMINGS AM CRY"

and hardcore lemmings will either say :

a. their version will be superior

b. they didn't care that much about halo

c. they boycott reach (but end up getting it anyway)

and then everyone else will be rejoicing that more people get to enjoy the game

Halo is still MS exclusive. A word to the wise though, I've notice somelemmings only like Halo as argument fodder and nothing more. In reality, most don't know crap about Halo.

Had to fix that.

But yes, fanboys only hype up games because of this stupid console war. It's funny seeing kids list games like Gears of War 3, Resistance 3 and other exclusives, but then watching them posts in other topics how the series is overrated garbage.

Halo is by far the most played game on the 360, and the most played game (statistically) for 2007,2008, and 2009. Halo 2 was for 2004,2005, and 2006 (yes, more played than gears of war/ the whole next-gen) It's apparent that people do care about the game.

It's more to do with right now having a plethora of great games where as the beggining of each new gen is usually slightly slow.

Nintendo one ofthe few devs that aremaxing out the hardware on the Wii. They're far from lazy.

Willy105

Why should 3rd party devs spend their time making a beautiful game on Wii when no matter how good it is, it won't compare to a HD game.

Why would developers make games for HD consoles, since it would never compare to a PC? That's a really bad reason why developers not make games for the Wii.

The thing is that it really does. The difference between a pc game and a 360/Ps3 game is nitpicking details on side by side screens, with the ps3/360 versions having such larger consistency. Wii games, in comparison, look BAD and more like gamecube/ps2/xbox games.

There's a reason why fully multiplatform games are 360/ps3/pc and not on wii, and if it is it's always a different version. And no, it's not because of the waggle.

In all seriousness though, look at all the "good" games nintendo has made this gen. They're all either rehashes or essentially ports.

Did anyone else think that SMG(1) was one of the most boring well made 3d platformers ever created? I remember starting in the first galaxy (something egg or whatever) and thinking to myself, "when does the fun start?"

He's talking about the devs. They make Halo games over and over. Sony Santa Monica is responsible for another lil gem called Twisted Metal, among other things. Not saying I agree with him about Bungie, but the GoW cheap shot was unnecessary.

no it isn't

And how was that a cheap shot? it's exactly the same logic

Pretty funny I say. And bungie is responsible for : Marathon, Myth, and Halo. All games of all the series have recieved AAA here at gamespot. Of course, I'm talking about the ones Bungie made, not Wars or the myth expansions The only game that hasn't is ONI, which is a result of Rockstar games essentially pulling off funding for a project and creating instability.

I hope your being sarcastic

Nope. I only like and support devs who try new things and arn't afraid to let their imagination run loose. Hm, lets take a look at what's on Bungie's mind shall we? "HALO HALO HALO HALO HALO." No thanks. Microsoft can keep 'em.

That's because they were under Microsoft, so they were forced to develop Halo.

They wanted to branch out which is why they bought themselves out to become independent. Maybe you should actually know the specifics of what you're talking about..

Except that's not the truth.... They're independent due to nonsubstantial to us business reasons. Nothing to do with games.

They aren't exactly being quiet on this. Listen to their podcasts, the place where they are more free in conversation. They pretty much directly say Xbox 360 development only.

People are just irrational I guess. This whole thing started from Hip Hop Gamer...
