@ Original poster. Well this is my issue to. I mean The Conduit looks pretty good for a Wii game but even then it still doesn't use as many nice effects as often as some of those Xbox games and that is kinda dissapointing. I expect to see bump-mapped textures on the walls and stuff and some pretty nice lighting and so on. It looks good but I still think there is room for improvement.

If all The Conduit is is a mix of all those classic and great games, and it manages to incorporate the qualitites and strengths of each of those games, then it will still be a brilliant FPS game. Isn't that what everyone wants?

Upgrading Banjo-Kazooie graphics for the xbox live arcade..is just the nintendo64 version in HD...

they are even using the same models and textures..looks fugly...

I actually like the simplicity and readability of the graphics better than that recent Banjo game. It just has far too much going on and is visually confusing and distracting imo. With some slightly touched up textures I would choose this over that game any day in terms of "nice" clean graphics.

That's maybe just me though.

Ok. Let's be honest. Those examples are pretty crap at best...but I expect to see much better renditions over time and I'm pretty sure someone could make a pretty accurate replica of NEW Super Mario Bros (DS) with this game if they really put some effort into it. It's just a pity the jumping of the characters is so slow and floaty.

Funnily enough probably Nintendo. All Microsoft and Sony really need to do imo is add proper motion control and pointer functionality to their controllers, and possibly allow them to split into seperate parts, and they should have pretty robust all-round designs.

Nintendo on the other hand probably needs to fix quite a few issues with their controller, such as the wired Nunchuck, the motion control in both, the general layout of the Wiimote and a few other bits and bobs.

30fps is fine but imo all companies really should try for 60fps is it's possible. I would probably choose to have nicer graphics at 30fps for most games over slightly worse looking graphics at 60fps but if it's possible to do both then that is what I would like to see.

For example; even though The Conduit on Wii is a decent looking game I still think it should be running at 60fps rather than 30fps. I mean if MP3 can run at 60fps, and that looks pretty much as good as The Conduit technically, then I don't see why the guys at HV can't push the Wii to run The Conduit at 60fps also.

Well the Wiimote 2 could go something like this http://img129.imageshack.us/img129/6071/revsheet3xu4.jpg

No, you just have to know how.

And wasn't that fan art created when people thought Microsoft would come out with a Wiimote-like controller?

That has nothing to do with Nintendo...

Someone asked about a next gen Wii.

1.) What upgrades could the nunchuk, wiimote combo undergo? Face it, motion sensing will be continued on Nintendo platforms from now on.

I posted an image of what the Wiimote 2 might be like. It's a controller idea for next gen consoles, including the Wii 2, and it's based on the current Wiimote.

How does that have nothing to do with Nintendo when we are guessing what the Wii 2 might have?

I'm not quite getting your point.

What does graphics have to do with gameplay? Does the Wii have a higher chance of great gameplay compared to other more powerful consoles?

AlexSays

lolwow

Didn't we just go over the whole comparing thing?

Why are you being so uptight about it?

If you don't like the graphics in MP3 then I say get rid of the system. They are probably the best graphics I have seen on Wii and MP3 is one of the few games where I actually think the graphics are acceptable for a Wii game and in this generation of gaming in general. If they are not good enough for you I think you are going to find the Wii very dissapointing indeed. Don't blame ya though.
