Winter-een-mas is here again. PREPARE FOR FUN.

For those of you who still haven't bought HL2, why the hell not? The deathmatch is worth the admission price alone. While there are currently only two maps, dm_overwatch is so fantastic you won't even care. The gravity gun adds a whole new dimension to the game. dm_overwatch has a basement room full of filing cabinets and shelves and boxes and stuff, and it's awesome fun playing dodgeball with all the stuff in there.

To put this in perspective, consider that that particular room also contains a very powerful machinegun which nobody ever uses because it's so much more fun to kill people with a chair.

Oh, also, I pwn at HL2DM. So there.

The Source SDK is out, like, tomorrow, along with (probably) HL2DM.

I've only gotten interested in online gaming recently, you know. Until recently I had my crappy old PC which barely ran Half-Life, but now that I have my awesomesauce laptop I can finally partake in pwnage.

I've also discovered that I have quite the talent for it, which is nice. I'm still not very good at Counter-Strike, but that's OK. I was playing Doom 3 online the other day for the first time. I visited no less than four different servers and none of them offered me much of a challenge. BTW, the chaingun is hilarious fun. But there are no chainsaws in multiplayer, how man-loving is that? Almost as man-loving as ron, and that's particularly man-loving, since yesterday I saw ron dressed in pink loving a man from behind up against the wall of a man-love bar in Soho.

Halo online is fun, especially on Blood Gulch.

I tried to like Halo 2, but it really is just a rehash of the first game. There's nothing new, except now you can pull people out of vehicles and use two guns at once (hats off to the Bungie boys for that revolution in gameplay). Half-Life 2 was truly groundbreaking, with moments of unscripted action unsurpassed by any other game.

At the end of the day, Halo 2 was always aimed at the more moronic end of the market. That's partly why it's X-Box only (zing). And seriously, I don't care what you idiot fanboys have to say about that. Anyone with half a brain can see that it's another NFSU or, to a much lesser extent, GTA:SA - a game released to please that end of the market who enjoy films like 2 Fast 2 Furious and listen to Linkin Park. And that's the truth.

Co-op is awesome though. Co-op on any half-decent FPS is awesome.

rofl, yesterday a friend invited me over and we played Halo 2 for for FOUR HOURS STRAIGHT. It's that fun on co-op.

Anyway, 24 hours till HL2. omfg i wet my undercrackers

I pre-ordered HL2 Silver today so i've been playing Source on teh awesome laptop. It rawks.
