San Andreas - I don't want it

I'd like to note right here that I am not impressed by the San Andreas review. I don't think the game looks excellent at all.

Of course everyone will be raving about it for the next two months. But in a year or so, I predict that the hype will have cooled down immensely and we gaming veterans will look back on San Andreas and say "You know, it STILL didn't live up to GTA3.". Just like we did with Vice City. And when I hear that, I will direct each one of us back here, and we will all revel in how right I was.

P.S. If you think Vice City is better than GTA3, disregard this post, you're a moron and it doesn't apply to you.

what the bejesus

MGS3 on Nov 17?

But HL2 is coming out on the 16th

And I'm hoping to have my hands on a copy of the Matrix Online beta by a few days after

I'll never find time to eat.

Half-Life = pwned

There, I completed all three official HL single-player games - Half-Life, Opposing Force and Blue Shift, all ready for HL2 next month.

I also managed to save myself from being kicked out of college by - get this - jumping out of a window. That's true, is that. My Biology lecturer came hunting me down because I hadn't done my coursework and therefore dodged her lesson. The only reason she didn't see me is becase I ducked behind the canteen separating thingy and dived straight out of the open window when the coast was clear.

I could totally give Sam Fisher a run for his money.

Now I wish I had Hella Oldschool.

One laptop with a side order of woe

My goodness, isn't woe a cool word?

Anyway, I feel I must share my annoyance with some folks.

Two weeks ago I ordered my sig laptop. For the past two weeks I have celebrated the fact with merriment and joy - until I realised I had been mailed no confirmation.

I telephoned my supplier to see if they'd received my order.

:shock::shock::shock:SHOCK, HORROR AND WOE. :shock::shock::shock:

They hadn't. On top of this, the deadline for orders is the 15th. Luckily we received two order sheets, even though you are only allowed to order one package on this deal. Almost as if they expected this to happen. We've fired it off ASAP, but anyone who knows Britain knows that the post office is about as reliable as a Dell (funny joke).

So I must wait. Wait to find out if my order reaches them in time. For the next three to five days I shall be biting my nails, waiting for the confirmation - what if my order is late? I mean, I'd expect ordering fiascoes with Alienware, but not my supplier (funny joke number two). And if this order doesn't go through, I get no laptop, and probably no laptop in the foreseeable future.

Share my pain, won't you?
